Dr. Ponce is terrific! He is extremely committed to the quality and care of his patients. That is so obvious when you talk to him and his staff. I've done my research and know that he was one of a handful of surgeons selected by the FDA to study/test the band before it was ever approved. I'm SOLD!:w00t:

Hi there! I'm all geared up for my band in 3 weeks. Have done a TON of research and opted to go with Dr. Ponce at the Gastric Band Institute here in Chattanooga. He seems very knowledgable and I've read he was sort of a 'pioneer' with the band. Has anybody else out there used him as their surgeon? I'm SOOOO excited to get my life back!

I have heard that the Gastric Band Institute has the most experienced surgeons in the area. Read that Dr. Ponce was actually a 'pioneer' in the early stages of LapBand approval. I've got an appointment and am really excited to get this going. Has anyone else been to GBI that could tell me their story?
