Too tight vs. Sweet Spot

I also was filled 2 wks ago. Went up to 7cc in 10cc band. I am also afraid to eat anything. Have had several "stuck" episodes and vomiting. I thought mine would get better but it hasn't. I am down 5 pounds in two weeks so I hate to complain....don't know what to do! -
I am 3 months out. I would be extremely careful eating solids after 12 days. Especially seafood. Shrimp gives alot of people problems. I did soft foods for a couple of weeks then slowly added in solids. Just be careful. You are in the healing process. But congrats on your band and welcome to the group!

No hairloss here. But I have heard that alot. I just take multi vitamin, calcium and my protein shakes of course. I was banded on Dec 3rd. I am down 23 lbs -

Have you been drinking plenty of water? If you are dehydrated that can cause leg cramps. -

Since my last fill two weeks ago I have had several "stuck" episodes. Broccoli is for sure a no no for me. I can't eat any meat either. I have to take small bites and chew alot. Will this improve? Almost everything I eat hurts unless it is mashed potatoes or scrambled eggs. -

It feels awful. It really does hurt. But DO NOT DRINK it will make it worse. I learned that the hard way. -

I just lay down while he inserts needle then stand up for adjustment. No crunches....I can't imagine that. Thankfully my doctor has got the stick on the first time everytime. I have heard of others having a problem finding it though. I hope it gets better for you. Good luck in your weight loss journey! -
Question about when a fill is needed

How much are you able to eat at one time? My doctor says if you can eat more than one cup at a sitting you need a fill. I was at 5cc and he filled me up to 7.5cc this time and I have alot of restriction! Can eat one cup of food rather than 2 cups I was eating. Only able to eat soft foods right now. Solids are giving me a hard time. But the weight is starting to come off again. 2 and a half pound in 4 days. Good Luck to you. -
What are your doctor's rules for after a fill?

My doctor says soft foods for 24 hrs. Then regular foods. But with this 3rd fill I am still on soft foods 4 days later because I cant get any solids down yet. But the weight is coming off now! -

That is great news. Congrats. I went for my 3rd fill on Friday and I feel the same way now. For the first time I feel big time restriction. I have to be very careful and take small bites and chew really well though. I hope to see the weight really coming off now! Sounds like you are doing great. -
Same here....went in for my third fill today. For the first time in my life my doctor told me I am not eating enough! Sounds crazy huh? They told me I am not getting enough carbs. I am also working out 4 times a wk. Hope to have more weight loss at next visit in 4 wks. I got a 2cc fill today.

I was banded Dec 3rd and have lost 21 pounds. I feel like I should have lost more by now. I had my second fill one wk ago and have little restriction. Just wondering how everyone banded in December are doing. Would love to hear from you. -
sorry, what I meant about the champagne was the carbination. I don't know about everyone else but it really bothers me.

I haven't had one in 4 months. Other than a sip in a slurpie (didn't realize it had soda in it) and it hurt so badly....Then I took a sip of champagne on new years not thinking and it also hurt. Trust me it is not worth it. I miss it sometimes, but I drink alot of water and crystal light drinks now. Good Luck

I was banded Dec 3rd. I didn't have a hernia though. Sounds to me like you are doing great with the weight loss. The pain should much improve over the next wk or so. Very important to get in the fluids right after surgery. I got dehydrated and had to get IV fluids. Good Luck! -

Great job. I am going for my 3 fill on friday. I hope it last for longer than 10 days for restriction this time. I do so good at first then I start to eat more again. I am not eating nearly what I was before the lapband. But I want to see more weight loss! How many fills have you had? What size band and fill? -

Arm/shoulder pain

I get an ache in my right shoulder occasionally. I find it is usually after I eat and when I eat too quickly or too much. I asked the nurse about it as well. She said to get up and move around when it happens and it does seem to help. -

Its called a spirometer. It will help. It is totally normal. I went through it as well. It will get better. Hang in there. -
Happyme...I feel your pain. My husband has said the same thing. It has to get better! I don't want this to be for nothing. I have lost 20 pounds and I was banded Dec 3rd. I know thats not horrible but it has taken forever for the last 5 pounds. I have had one fill and get another on Feb 5th. I had restriction for about 10 days after my first fill then it went away....

STARVING after first fill?

I am surprised you are on liquids until Sunday. I had my first fill one wk ago and I just had to be on liquids for one day and I was sooo full that day I didn't want to eat. I can tell I am eating less now. I am not to my "sweet spot" by any means but it has helped. I get another fill in 3 wks which I hope will help even more. You have done well with your weight loss it looks like!
