The 'Pre-Op' sheet I'm looking at says "If your condition changes (fever, cold, flu, chest pain, etc.), notify your surgeon asap.

I woke-up yesterday (2 days before surgery) slightly congested and worried about it, but it was gone quickly and when I went to my pre-op appt., at 11, my lungs and sinuses wear clear and fever was normal. They'll check you and let you know if the problem is significant enough to delay surgery.
