I talked to the nurse mt Dr said he wants the band removed and go with the sleve my band is half full cant get any more fills because of tight esophagus if they did a fill i would get food stuck and choke. so as soon as they hear from my insurance it will be bye bye band.

Yes i have the lapband going to get the sleeve for other medial reasons i like the band.every one say oh thats the easy way buy it is not easy it takes lots of work. -

Your doing better then me i was banded on oct 20 2010 eat about a cup total stop i could eat more i also go for a fill on the 13th i need it you should talk to your dr before they try the fill Hello, Just a question about fills! I am supposed to get my first fill on Thursday the 13th. honestly don't think I need one. I am averaging about 3 1/2 to 4 lbs a week. I was banded on 12/6. I am finally getting comfortable and adjusting to the forgien object in my body. I have introduced some fruits and veggies and today introduced a 1/2 of a 1/2 english muffin (made eng. muffin pizzas for lunch). I am not able to eat much (but at times I am also scared to eat). Afraid something will get stuck. So I guess I am just asking what anyone else would do? If you are losing this much a week would you still get a fill? I was thinking about calling the dr to let them know, and maybe save me a trip to the dr. But not sure if he will still want to see me anyways! Advise or input would be appreciated! Thanks,

Had my lapband done on the 20th oct went well not too sore.very little gas.

Hi im 54 going in for my surgery on the 20th start my liquid diet sunday the 10th. had to do all the [reop stuff for 6 months and lost on ly 6 ponds so stressfull but now im on my way. -

Thanks for contacting me. I did decide to have the surgery. I had it done July 8th 2009 and to date have lost 70 pounds. It was the best decision I could ever make. It sounds as if we are similar. The week before suregery before I started my liquid diet I weighed myself at 263. When I broke 200 I was so excited. Let me know if there is anything I can do to help. Thanks and keep focused! Nancy

hi nan im near erie doing all the 6 month stuff had my phyc test and 1 app.with nutrishenist and on my 3 with my familt dr. my bmi is 43 weight started at 267 now 259.just hope after all this my insurance still agrees.
