    Hi Sunnsuds, I would love to keep in touch. Going to be banded May 5th. Not really nervous about the surgery itself, but everything to come afterwards. I'm having surgery out of town and plan on flying back the day after. How did you feel day after surgery. Thought I would take Gravol for the flight, hope I can keep it down. You're in sunny Tampa, we were in Florida 2 weeks ago in the St. Pete area. Lovely.

    Hello Zionsongbird - I am also being banded May 5 @ 8:00am. I am 48 years old and am looking for a Bandster Buddy. I'm on Day 6 of the Pre-Op and it's not going too bad. Looking forward to hearing from you.

    I'm on day 6 of my pre-op and it's actually going really well. I agree that you have to be in the right 'head space". And truly, if we want something bad enough we dig deep and make it work. This forum is tremendously encouraging and in itself a great "tool" for success.

    Thanks for your post Astrasmom. I am being banded May 5th and seem to have all of the anxiety, optimism, fear, excitement and boy I could just go on and on as everyone else.     Am I am being banded on May 5th, and have had a few business functions that I will just say docs have told me to avoid alcohol for the next couple of months to monitor hormone levels. Say whatever it takes so you don't feel awkward. This is a lifelong decision and will really have to start adapting now!
