So my story goes a little something like this: July of 2000  age 19 , 120 lbs diagnosed with stage IV endometriosis via 1st laprascopic surgery. 5 months later had a laparotomy ( c-section like cut). 1 year later had another laparoscopy. Put on new medication. gained 40 lbs in 3 months. Meanwhile I recorded faithfully the foods that I ate, and worked out 5 times a week- for the next 4 years. Had 3 more laparoscopies. By 2005, was 175 lbs. Lost everything to Hurricane Rita. Didn't give a crap about anything any more- much less try to at least maintain my 175lbs. Stopped exercising. Lost 15 lbs in 2006, gained 20 lbs back by July. 2007. got married. started trying for baby. went on fertility meds. had another laparoscopy July 2008. gained 15 lbs. Had a complete abdominal hysterectomy Dec 2008. Lost 20 lbs. gained it all back after my brother died @ age 26 to testicular cancer May 2009. My doctor recommended lapband. thought about. didn't think i was fat enough- like so many of you will think- decided it wouldn't hurt to at least meet with a dr and go from there. Had my first visit the Friday before Thanksgiving 2009. Was approved but would have to be self pay worth it. Did my blood work and other tests the day after Thanksgiving, met with Dr on December 18 and patiently waiting for surgery January 15,2010. Currently on my 2 week pre-op diet ( protein shake for breakfast & lunch, 4 oz lean protein, green veggies, a cup of fruit for supper
