  1. I weigh myself everyday and I also record it on paper. I've been doing this since May 1st, 2010, which was when I started my preop diet. 99.8% it doesn't effect me negatively, it actually helps me look at weight loss or gain very objectively - in fact I feel like this is an "experiment" (the weight record, not my band journey). Whenever I go up in weight it's either because my body is doing it's own adjustments (wheich is the most common), I've been not adhereing to my diet and or workouts (then I know to get my act together), or I've been too stressed and I need to relax or reevaluate my behaviors...

  7. Ive been doing pretty great lately - just got my third fill! I'm really working with my band a lot more, I think I was resisting the changes in my diet after each fill and I kept pb'ing. I just couldn't believe that chicken was no longer an option, now I can deal! How are you doing? You're getting thinner and thinner in your pics!!! YAY*

    Is there anyway to report these offenses? No one should be forced off such an amzing site as this...I've recieved so much support and encouragement from everyone and you should experience that too!
  9. Hello! thanks for posting on my pic, I appreciate the kind compliments! As far as what I do...I pretty much stick to the lap band "rules" - 3 small meals a day, do eating a drinking at the same time, lots of protein..etc. There are some "rules" that I made for myself, I haven't had any bread, ice creams, cookies, sweets, well actually I take that back I did have a small handful of regular m&m's not to long ago (I realized that I wasn't missing much). So I basically avoid sweets and snack like food especially bread of any kind only because, to me, they are trigger foods.

    I workout as much as I can and if that is only two days a week then that's all I do. I have found that I want to workout more than I have the time for because it makes me feel really good about myself.

    Best advise - do what works for you and your needs and follow the general advice from your surgeon. Also, if you have a had time with food, talk about it on the forums.

    What foods get stuck in your band?

    I've gotten stuck on lots of things - it can frustrating at times when, on your second bite, you're foaming at the mouth and unable to continue eating...errr. Chicken is my favorite and after my second fill I can't seem to eat it. I've tried many ways of preparing it without any real success. Steak can go don pretty easy which I though was strange. I eat shrimp and fish perfectly fine. I can eat nuts and on occassion a few bites of pasta, but my diet consists mostly of proteins and fats - very low carb. I myself am sick of getting stuck and pb'ing so for the past week I've been sticking to my basic lapband rules and really being aware of how and what I'm eating.
  15. The last few weeks have been tough but I’ve been able to get past them. In the last 3 days I’ve struggled with my demons more than I have in months. I’ve been bingeing and ignoring all the lapband rules. I feel depressed, angry, and powerless. I’m being selfish. I’ve done so well and now I feel like I’m going to F everything up. I’ve been to my therapist, spoken to my friends, prayed, and I’m still waiting for relief from these feelings. Please, I need an angel to tell me its going to be alright…

    Anyone who comments on my weight loss or asks in general, I just tell them the truth. I've got nothing to hide and I may even help someone in the process. However, do what makes you fell comfortable and good luck! Becks
