Thanks I was starting to feel abnormal LOL actually I don't think it is the port that I am feeling. I can feel it on the incision. This is a weird internal feeling. Okay I'm letting my imagination run really wild, but I imagine the tubing is rubbing against my ribs or something. It only happens if I lean over really far? IDK weird, but not painful.

I am three weeks post op and for the first time - I felt something. I leaned over to pick up something from the floor and when I stood up...this weird feeling right under my right breast. Hard to explain. I can only guess it is the band. I've not had this experience before. Anyone else feel an alien in there:scared2:?

Hey nkara, I am also a stomach sleeper. I have found relief with pushing a pillow or two under my side and sort of leaning into it to sleep on my side. I still change positions alot because I'm missing my stomach sleep, but so far this has worked. Best of luck

I hope you start feeling better soon, but thanks for sharing. In the first few days after I also thought...WHAT WAS I THINKING!!!! I started to think that maybe I wasn't such a good candidate because I was regretting it already. With each day it has gotten easier. I'm still learning and still have pain in my shoulder when I hiccup. What's up with the hiccups anyway??? I also got 1/2 of my vitamin stuck a few days ago that was so weird. Best of luck to you..we are all still learning. -

I guess we all knew that getting thin would be a big "pain!" I haven't felt pain in my port area, but in my shoulder. At night the pain can bring me to tears. I've been active during the day ( I have 2 young kids so I have to be) and at night it takes everything in me to get comfortable to sleep. The change in position sends the air straight to my shoulder...uuuggghh does this end soon? Tomorrow is my 1 week check up! Anyone else suffering with me?

I am also a newbie just banded on 11/12- as I read posts I see our post op instructions are as different as we are:laugh: Like an earlier post, my post op diet only stated 2 days clear liquid. Then 14 days of thick liquid (basically anything that will go in a straw-without using a straw) I've gotten a few hunger pains and the most satisfaction I've gotten is drinking Muscle Milk Light. It has 100 calories with > 3g of fat or sugar. Best of Luck!!!!

First off Congrats! and let me say I am impressed that you were posting the day OF surgery. I was banded on 11/12/09 and I was good for NOTHING the first day. I've been able to manage my pain with only Tylenol-however I still have lots of shoulder pain. I've been walking lots to try and move it around. Best of luck to you :w00t:
