I will be going back on Monday, I only took 4 days off. Plus it fell perfect with Thanksgiving being next week. So I'll have those 2 days off. Not a big deal since I sit at a desk all day.

Maybe they will do like mine, just request medical records for the past 5 years showing that you had a BMI of 40+. It made it easier for me, like you I don't have no other extra issues.
Actually the pain isn't too bad but I've been making sure to take the pain meds so I avoid most of it right now. So it could be the reason why I'm not feeling too much...just soreness.

Thanks, do you know anyone personally going through the process w/ your insurance? I was lucky to have a couple of ladies at my job who did it before me...so I was able to kind of get the idea of it prior to doing it. I hope you get the approval soon too!

I have United Health, under a PPO plan. Approval is pretty much based on what was written in your policy through your employer, so they decided what is necessary for you to be approved. With mine, I only needed a 5 year BMI of 40+ and if it was lower than 40, I needed some co-morbidity conditions and a few extra requirements that were needed from the surgeon to do the surgery. My insurance would have gone through faster, but I had to clear up my pre-existing situation and provide my Certificate of Coverage from my employer before that.
