I was originally banded in 2004, and had a very successful surgery. Unfortunately, complications caused me to have to get the band removed. It has been removed for about 2 years now and I have gained ALL of the weight back (80 pounds) plus an additional 20 pounds. I now have insurance that will pay for the procedure. After speaking with a doctor that performs revisional surgery, I was informed that he would perform the surgery, but there is a chance that a band can't be placed and he will perform a gastric bypass. Worst case scenario, he will have to do an "open" surgery versus laposcropic. I am looking forward to the surgery and very excited. I can't wait to get BACK on the road to weight loss and good health!
