I was banded in October of 2003. Initially lost 30 pounds then gained it all back. Reason was that I was throwing up all the time. In 2005 I moved to Ohio and had all the fluid taken out of my band. Still threw up on a weekly basis, sometimes up to 7 or 10 times a day. Finally in January of 2010 I found a surgeon in the area that would see me and after doing all the blood work I had a floroscope and he said my band was perfect. So he gave me a fill of .08cc I think my band only holds 3.cc. Anyway he also told me not to eat more then 1/4 to 1/2 cup of food at any meal. It's working. Not yet a week and I'm down two pounds. Am adding 'activity' slowly. Walking for now but not daily. It's too cold or I'm too lazy.
