I contemplated the idea of having surgery for years.  I finally decided to go with the lap-band due to the decreased dangers involved.  Getting approval took a little bit longer because my BMI was rather low and I had no comorbidities.  My surgery was approved and I had the surgery on February 10,2009.  My recovery went very well and I was home within a couple of days.  My fills have been extremely slow (I think). I have a 9CC Band and I just yesterday was brought up to 5.5CC's.  I don't have much resriction and on each visit, I tell the nurse who performs the fills and she insists that I will get there eventually (1/2 CC at a time).  Eventually seems to be forever.  I've only lost 8 pounds in 9 months.  I had better results with weight watchers.  I'm on this site to find a solution and resolve this problem.
