You maybenefit from a slight unfill. Ive had the same issues before and a slight unfill and NO late night eating worked for me. I was eating too close to bedtime and once i stopped eating late at night i was able to eat a bit in the am.

It took me about a month and a half. I had no problems with my insurance at all. I did have to go in for blood tests and an endo prior to final approval. I was shocked it was so fast! I've hear it has taken people up to a year!
GOOD LUCK!!

I have UHC. I was approved in just a few days without needing nutrition counseling. My BMI was 37.1. My PCP did send in a referral letter indicating my failed attempts at other weight loss plans. I was also covered 100%. My "seminar" appointment was September 17, 2009 and my surgery day was November 2, 2009. It was quick and easy. Good luck to you all!

I did a photo shoot and commercial for 1-800-get-thin ( the company I went thru for my surgery!) and the commercial aired for the first time yesterday! Then I come home from work to find the mailer advertisement in my mailbox! So excited that I had to shout it out to my fellow lapbanders!
I've lost another 11 lbs since the filming and photo shoot!
I uploaded the advertisement to my LAPBAND picture album.....check me out!
GOOD LUCK TO ALL ON YOUR WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY!

I did. I never had a problem getting ahold of anyone there. All of my questions/concerns were handled very quickly. I didn't even call my "consultant" with questions. I'd just call the office directly and asked my question and then was transferred to someone who answered it for me. My Doctor was Dr. T and I get all my fills in the Covina Office.
I"ll be more than happy to answer any other questions you might have.
I had surgery in Nov 09. I'm down almost 75 lbs, and just bought size 6 pants (down from a 20!) I just recently did a commercial and photo shoot for them as well.
Good luck on your weight loss journey!

Ok well I think everything everyone else does....you look amazing and you are one of the reasons other people look at the LAP-BAND®...because you have done fabulous at it obviously. Here is my concern, "Weight Loss Center" is this for the LAP-BAND® procedure or another type of weight loss program? I'm sorry if I missed where that was said but that is my concern. If it's to promote what an awesome job you have done heck yeah go for it, but.....like was said is this the point in your journey you want to advertise?I should of been more specific! It's for the Lap-Band. The same ads you see at this site ( 1-800-get thin)
Thanks so much for everyone's replies! I really appreciate it!

@ waynooo- i love the new name suggestion!

I was approached today by the marketing dept for weight loss centers asking if i would be interested in doing some advertising for them. They've set up a photo shoot, and will record some video and audio testimonial for Thursday (less than a week away!)
I was super excited about doing this, but now that I'm thinking about it more and more I'm second guessing myself and my weight loss. Maybe I should decline, allow myself some more time to lose a few more pounds and see if the opprotunity comes up again.
Anyway...If you would be so kind as to check out my before/after pics on my bandster profile and tell me HONESTLY what you think I'd appreciate it TONS.

I just feel a small pinch... and never been given any type numbing medicine. My port is located on my right mid abdomen. I just lay on my back, do a small sit up and hold it there til the Dr. does his magic. It's pretty simple and almost pain free. GOOD LUCK!

Going out tomorrow night and curious what cocktails you all order. I know soda mixed drinks are a no-no as is beer. So tell me some of your favorites!

I have UHC. It was a very simple process. Took about 10 days to get my approval once everything was submitted. I didn't have to take any health/nutriton classes. I had my very first consult with the lapband doctor on Sept 26, 2009 and had surgery November 1,2009. I only had to submit a referral from my primary MD because my BMI was lower than the "required" 40. Hope all goes well for both of you

Keep your head up. She obviously is feeling threatened. And more than likely she is jealous of you too. Seems to me that she is trying to make herself feel better by putting you down. So pathetic. Put her words behind you and think of how good you will feel and look in a few months and kill her with kindness..... maybe that will get under her skin! LOL
Best of luck to you.
