Hmmm... really I had no idea. I thought that the whole reason for the liquid diet was to shrink your liver. reason being is with an enlarged liver makes it hard for the band to be put into place. I guess that goes to show that you learn something new every day. Wish i would have known that in 09' when i had to go through it. I was willing to do what ever it took to have the surgery. Well trying to find my way again... WAS doing great! Got sick a few months ago and had to get unfilled. bummer for me. I have fallin hard! Gained 23 lbs. . I told myself I will never be that sad 268 lb women again. somehow im eating my words. Sad but true. I went back 2 days ago to get a fill only to find out that my port has done a 90 degree turn on me. working on getting it fixed soon. Right now being able to eat what ever is not good for me!!! Anyone else ever had this problem? would love to hear from you. Peace~

Thank you Judy! I feel much better about. Still staying focused. Those words r sooo true I DONT WANT TO SEE THAT 268 lbs WOMEN AGAIN. EVER!!!!

Hey Kim, I think this feeling that you have is totally normal. I to went through the samething. I will tell you from first hand my husband and I are both banded. Band date for me was 12/09 I lost a total of 103 lbs in 1 year. I worked really hard. My husband was banded 10/10 he hasnt done so well because he hasnt tried. He has lost about 20 lbs. this is just an example for you. In the past few months ive gained 23 lbs. Trying to get myself back on track now. As far as the skin everyone is different. I would take saggy skin any day over fat tight skin. lol... go for it girl you can do it! I would do it over in a heart beat if i had too.

This was also taken October 2010...my old faithful work slacks...size 26. It is funny I am forced to buy new clothes but sometimes I still go to the plus size racks. It really takes pictures to help me remember that I don't look the same anymore.

Well you have not long now. Im sure you are sitting on the edge of your seat by now. Counting down the days. I love having it i would do it over a million times if i had to. There have been a few bumps along the way. NOthing that i couldnt get control of. just remember drink lots of water and get your protien in. My husband just had it done 2 weeks ago and is doin really well with it so far. I cant beleive how much it is in Canada! I live in Louisiana and you can get it done for around 11k i guess we do what we have to do. Well keep in touch and its nice meeting you!
