  1. How are you doing? Thanks for adding me on as a friend. How long has it been since your surgery? I do remember the gas pains and yes that was worst than anything. I can handle pain pretty well, but the gas pains were the hardest to deal with. I pray things continue to get better over time. Keep me posted.

  2. Thanks for checking in on me! My weight lost is coming along okay but slowly. I can see more inches than the numbers dropping. I am very happy because I have never been this small in over 13 years. I have gone from a 26 to a 14/16 depending on how it's made. Overall, God has truly been good to me throughout this entire process. I pray all is well with you. Oh, you look amazing!

  3. Thanks for the encouraging words and I do wish you the very best with your band. I have lost 75 pounds in nines months I have 40 more to go.

  4. THANKS. Those were really encouraging words. It's so funny because I ran into a past employee last night in Wal-Mart who has not seen me in about a year, and she did not recognize me. She said "OMG I did not know who you were speaking to me- honey you look really good" I smiled and thanked her for being so kind.

  5. You have always been my center of motivation. You have done an outstanding job in such a very short period of time. God knows I don't know how you did it, but you look amazing. I can only imagine how your life has changed in so many ways. Honey you "rock"! I am so very proud of you. The hard work really shows. You are a cutie!

  7. Welcome to the site. I pray all is well with you. I hope everything goes as planned and you enjoy the new you.

  8. Thanks for adding me on as a friend.

  9. I pray all goes well for you with the pre op stages for getting your band. Things will go by a lot quicker than you think.

  10. How are you doing. You are doing a good job. Keep up the good work.

  11. I normally work from 9am-630pm, so today after work I have my clothes with me to hit the gym before I go home. It’s a long day but I will have my workout completed. I have not had a fill in a while, and I really think I am sensitive to fills. If I get a tad bit too much, I am not able to get anything down and I end up having some removed. Therefore, I am good with my fill at this time.

  12. Honestyly, it's not easy to make the time to workout but once you start to see the changes in your body it's worth it. My plate is so full but I have to put myself first sometimes. Therefore my times at the gym are early in the morning, right after work, or late at night once my kids are in bed. You just have to figure out what work for you. Good luck.

  13. From the album: After Band pic July 2010

It's been nine months since I was banded, and I have lost a total of 75 pounds. I thank God every single day because things are just getting better and better. I currently can wear a size 14-16 depending on how it's made. I work out now like crazy and "yes" I love all of the attention that I am get daily!

    Band Slippage

I read your post and I really think that your band is just too tight. I was over filled on two different occassions and once the right amount of fluid was removed I did not have any more problems with throwing up. A lot of people are under the impression that tighter equals more weight lost, but that's really the opposite with most people. When you become too tight poor food choices are more than likely picked and the weight lost does stop. I do think it would be a very good idea to have some fluid removed from your band, and allow your system to heal from all the truma of throwing up. I really lost the majority of my weight once I started working out on a more consistant basis. I go to the gym at least 3-4txs weekly and I try to average around 8miles from cardo excerises per week. I have lost a total of 75 pounds in 9mons. I have a total of 25 pounds to go before hitting the 100 mark. I am 6'1 and my ideal weight would be 200 pounds.
  15. Thanks for adding me as a friend and congrats on the wedding. I pray God bless you and your new husband to have a wonderful life together. You have done a great job. My God 51 pounds down- you go girl! You are such a beautiful person I can't wait to see so me of your wedding pics!

  16. In the begining of this process I really did not put the work in as I should have. However, I feel like I am doing something wrong if I don't hit the gym at least 3-4 txs weekly. On an average I do about 8 miles of cardo weekly. My size has gone from a size 26-24 to my current 16-14 womens. Girl, I have not worn those sizes since 96/97. God has truly been good to me!

  17. Thanks so much for added me on as a friend. I have been banded a little over 9 mons and 75 pounds later! I feel like a totally different person in so many ways. I do thank God daily for having this opportunity to have my band. It has made my life better in so many ways. You appear to be doing a great job with your band. Those last pounds will come off in time. I do a lot of working out.

  18. How are you doing. Thanks for adding me as a friend. I have not been on the site for a while and today was the first time viewing my page in a while. I pray all is well with you.

  19. I think I saw your surgery date was March 17th, if so how are you doing? How much weight have you lost so far? If there is anything I can assist you with, please let me know. I pray all is well!

  20. Hello,

Things are going well with me. Thanks for the comment. My weight lost is a little slow but constant. I know it's not going to come off over night. I can't believe it's almost been a year since my surgery. Overall, so far so good! Nice hearing from you.

  21. How are you doing? You look so good and it appears that you are really working your band. Job well done.

You go sexy lady. You look great! You are such a pretty person.
  23. I am glad to see you are feeling a lot better. I have been down that road a few times before and it's not a good thing to experience. I have been the type of person who’s very sensitive when it comes to getting fills. I just can't have too much in my band. Therefore, I am pretty happy with the restriction I do have. I pray things continue to go well for you.

    very slow weight loss

My weight lost is slow in my eyes but others have a different out look. I have started working out more at the YMCA and I think its making a slight difference for me. I thank God for all the pounds lost, because it could be the total opposite (gaining as I did in the past) Keep the faith and just keep it moving and the weight is going to come off for you.
  25. I read your blog. Don't get frustrated with your slow weight lost. Just focus on portion control and being as active as possible. The weight is going to come off but some people lose more inches at first and then the scales start to move.
