    Slowly going down......

It's okay to know that your weight goes up and down throughout this process. There are several different factors that will cause your weight to vary from time to time. Continue to stay focused and be consistant with your workouts. I think the most important thing while losing weight is to build muscles. Keep fighting for your long term goal and don't be so hard on yourself when the scale stop moving down.
  2. Thanks so much for your kind words and encouragement.

  4. How are you doing? Congrats on getting your band! Give yourself time to adjust to having a band and how it works in your body. Each person is different in every single way. Good luck.

    Fairy godmother.....no thanks

Having my band is not a fairy tale life, but learning a different way to live my life. This road can take you in several different directions, but each of us must stay focused on where we truly want to end up. Some people are more dedicated than others and it shows and others want instant results and it's not always the way things will work. This year has taught me a lot of valuable lessons about goals, staying focused, and loving myself at all cost. Good luck.

    Getting crazy!

Take your time and be patient with yourself. The weight did not come over night and it's not all going to leave over night. Sometimes you will build muscle which weigh more than fat so the scales don't always show the weight lost. However, you should see some difference in the way your clothes are fitting you. Goo luck and don't give up. You have just started this process and change will come in time.

    One day Post Op

I am glad to hear that you are doing well. Take your time and allow your body to heal. Right now you should not worry so much about the amount of food you can take in, but keeping your body hydrated with fluids is important. Also, remember the band is very swollen from the procedure so baby it and yourself. With this lapband race- so and easy is the best way. Taking the gas stripes really helped after my surgery and also drinking warm fluids also gave me so comfort. I do wish you the best of luck.

    Bad Day

Yes, people with the sleeve lose a lot faster that we do. They don't have all of those restrictions issues like we do, but it's really a different process both of ya'll are going through. Don't beat yourself up and do the very best you can do with the tool you have. Good luck.

You look great. I have that same black jacket. I am actually wearing it today.
  21. Meekie, things are going a lot better for me and a lot of my discomfort has gone totally away. I do look for my process with this band to only get better over time. You have done an awesome job and the results show. Next thursday 21st will make a whole year since I got my band. I am not where I want to be, but I thank God I am not where I use to be. Again, thanks.

  22. Don't start to compare yourself to anyone else. This is truly a self process that each of us had to learn on our own. What works for one person, don't always work for everyone else. I do feel that you can start to experience more results if you start a regular workout routine. At first I did not work out like I should have, but once I made up in my mind that workingout was the key for me I did.

  23. Hey Lady. I read that you are not really feeling the type of restriction that you should at least feel with 8ccs in your band. Honey I only have 4.2cc now in my band I had to have fluid taken out twice due to over restrction. Everyone wants that control from their band, but please remember the band is only a tool that you "will" learn to work to your advantage. Please don't beat up on yourself

    It' s Here

I wish you the very best of luck with your procedure. Welcome to the band world!

    STUCK AND SLIMING AT WORK!!!

Trust me- having some fluid taking out was the best choice I have made in a very long time. I don't have the restriction I did, but my food choices were poor due to all of the stuck episodes I was experiencing. Therefore, the weight was not coming off any way. Good luck and I pray you won't experience that anytime soon.
