OMG! That really stinks! How can they get away with making you pay any additional fees if it was not required in your initial documentation? I am still allowed to have my fills and follow up visit with this outstanding amount noted in my records. I do thanks God for that much. None of us need this type of headache! I pray all will work out for the both of us.

Thanks so much for the friend request. It mean so much to see others like yourself do so well. You are really an amazing person and it motivates me to work just as hard. My highest weight was 314 as of 7-21-10 my band date, and as of today am currently 285. My height is 6'1 and it realy helps to hide my weight. It's coming off slowly, but I thanks God that it is coming off. Again, thanks you!

. Unfortunately your weight will slow down once you start back eating solid foods. I was encouraged to get in at least 130g of protein daily to help build muscle to replace the fat. Good luck and if I can assist you in any way please let me know.

Every doctor is different but it just makes sense to me that you don't want to cause any undue stress to your band area. I currently use Tums as a source of calcium. It helps with gas and it provides my daily calcium intake at the same time. It's chewable and several different varieties to choose from. Make sure you check with your local pharmacy first to find out what can and can not be crushed. Those sharp edges from those pills could cause you a lot of problems in the long run due to damage you can not see. Honey, just be careful with your pills. I due take very small pills that goes down with no problems, but I mostly use chewable or liquid if possible. page 1 (post was too long)

Thanks so much for the friend request. I can remember how it felt to count down the days before my surgery. I am so thankful that God allowed to be able to have this band. It is not a quick fix by no means, but it is a tool to help me to becoming a healthier and happier person with my life. I will be praying that everything from this point forward will work out in your favor. Please keep me up dated with you. This site has been a God sent as well. It allows me to reach out to different people all over the world for support and encouragement.

I am not sure who your doctor is, but I was told by my doctor not to take any whole pills for at least the first 6 months after your procedure. All your medications should be crushed if possible, chewable or in liquid form. There are a lot of chewable vitamins out there that you can take. My doctor told me that it takes very little to cause your band area to become irritated and swell around that area. Therefore, it makes it that much more difficult for anything to down. I am so very sorry to hear what you have been going through, but your surgery is too new to be swallowing pills. You should really be very careful with that. I am praying things work out for you.
