Hi all...I'm Judy. I got the name spunky in college. I was active in student goverment, sorrority, SDS, and a flower child.(without the free love.....wink)and now I'm a woman.Hence spunkywoman.....the band is making me spunky again..... thank you Dr Fielding NYU Medical Center NYC Aug 7,2006

Yikes I'm trying to remember 18.....size 7/8, shoe size 5, ring size 4......Well I seemed to have stetched my body just a bit to a size 26/28., but my shoes and bags always matched. Health problems took their toll..almost dying with a miscarriage at 22 but went on to have 2 great sons. Married to the same wonderful guy that has stood by me fat or thin. Of course at 110 he thought I needed to lose weight.....lol. He said a 100 times he's sorry he ever said that. I graduated from college with honors and went on to complete my masters in education.....only to have horrible asthma which kept me from teaching. Sixteen years of daily steroids blew me up......butI'm in remission......off steroids and anxious to go on with my life. I feel the band has given me a second chance.....to enter a new stage in life. We are snowbirds between Florida and NYC. I'm trying to be more active like I was at 18...there still is the kid in me. It's that spunk that has kept me going. Yes SPUNKY was my college nickname....and since now I'm a woman hence the new name. I'm proud of me for taking this step. I know I can do it this time. I just flew from Florida to NYC....being banded had no effect on me. Maybe people feel sick because they are nervous......How did everyone do during Thanksgiving? One holiday down 2 to go.......We can do this. I get my third fill on Dec6......then back to Florida. I'm nervous about being too full and I have no doctor in Florida to take some out....HELP! Happy Holiday all....

Giving up the band I know was was hard.......but I have had MRSA...the dreaded hospital infection ....that is resistant to antibiotic and it is a trip from hell. I was sent home with a pic line.( IV to the heart) I had to administer my own antibiotics via IV for 10 week. I'm glad your home and on the mend...Take one day at a time. Get strong and the rest will fall into place. Thank God you lost all that weight it made the emergency surgery much easier for you and the doctors....God bless and keep in touch.......just know we all really do care about you! Welcome to ABC...you must know by now that everyone loses at different rates. If you have hit menapause like I have we lose much slower. My husbands only home 4 days a month.thanks again.....could that be the real reason for crying? separation isn't easy. Is he in the service? Is he always away?

What about the male joggers that run shirtless? Or the girls that wear pants flipped over with belly buttons exposed? All my nephews from Dallas.....wore the dropped pants ...they finally out grew it......

sounds like a soap opera.....as the plot thickens. Sorry I didn't mean to make light of such a serious problem. Life isn't easy.....I don't inow what I would do if I was in this situation. Why did the millionaire marry a much older person? First or second marriages?

A quick question......because I'm a newbie.I just had my second fill 2 weeks ago....I PBed for over 24 hours .......mostly slime. Then it happened again this week. Am I over eating? or Overfilled? 11cc band...1st fill was 5cc......second fill was 2ccs......help! I'm heading south for the winter and my doctor is in NYC....

Huberslave.......I found the surgery a breeze compared to 2 c sections , 5 hernia repairs and a hysterectomy:faint: . I have terrible arthritis and I was able to go to the bathroom and get out of bed all by myself. I even had my hair and nails done a week later. I'm sure you will do just fine. I was thinking what about talking about positve lifestyle changes or problems we are having rather than concentrating on just a number. We will LOSE.....it's not a race. Life isn't always going to be easy. Maybe a great recipe that didn't make you sick.... I'm kinda feeling pressured and I don't want to fail this time.... Hi guys I just started with the golf ball pain this week. Doesn't matter where that ball is .....it's a killer.:faint: Hiccups is a stop warning to me ASAP.....For me, I start to PB if I continue eating. I'm feeling better after 2 horrible days of PBing. Help! I'm dying I can't eat anything solid.....I guess I found out what PBing is......damn this is gross...I can only drink protien drinks and yogurt....where do I go to find band friendly foods?

I had my second fill last Wednesday Oct 11...Monday night restriction hit me like a bullet......pbing for hours. I stayed on liquids all day. I tried soup and a little boiled chicken and was sick again....Help what do I do?My chest is so sore..:help:

It's been 5 days since my second fill. I got sick for the first time on flounder and broccoli. I thought I was going to die. I almost couldn't breathe. Was it the fish or broccoli.....I can't go through that again......
