Like most of you, I have dealt with a weight issue since my high school years.  When people talk of the yo-yo syndrome, well I definitely fit that profile.  I am so excited that I chose the lapband surgery.  Has it been difficult . . . of course!  What diet have you ever been on that was easy!  But  . . . I needed to change my life for the better or I wasn't going to be around to see my grandchildren grow up.I have known several people who have had the surgery and they did remarkable!  Of course, you've got to remember, the surgery is only a tool in helping you loose the weight.  The choice is yours and yours alone.  I want the weight off, I want to be healthy, I want to buy clothes in a normal department store instead of a plus size store!I had a cousin who underwent the surgery and has lost 106 pounds and she looks amazing.  She's a RN in Amarillo and convinced me too that this surgery would be wonderful and life changing.I had my surgery on October 14, 2009 and as of today I have lost 24 pounds.  I have not put one single item of food in my mouth that wasn't on my instruction sheet and I plan to continue following Dr.'s orders.I will keep you posted on my success.  I don't have a picture to put up at this time, but hope to do so soon.  Good luck to each of you!
