Hey TMG33,
I'm doing good!! I'm down 6lbs from surgery date 11/18 and I don't have any pains from the procedure, just every now and then depending on which way I move, but other than that I am ok. Still struggling with "head hunger" but this too shall pass.. I go for my 1st f/u on the 17th, hopefully I will get a fill.. we'll see. How is it going with you? take care!! keep in touch

Hey PickSap.. I accepted your friend request.. Thank you! I am doing good. I have no pain actually and I am on my pureed stage. I am actually eating mashed potatoes and applesauce. I have lost 6 lbs since surgery on the 18th, so I'm pretty excited. It is hard though cuz I do still struggle with Head Hunger...Yes it is good to see people like TMG33 to keep us focused.. Well good luck and keep in touch!!

oh and the isopure Protein drink, do they taste good? Hello, I don't have any protein drink recipes, but I did purchase the Isopure Nutritional drinks and they are pretty good! They would put you in the mind of Gatorade, not a bad taste at all. I was pleasantly surprised!!! :tongue2: I actually bought them from CVS. -

I know what u mean... i have had the same thoughts...I will be sooooo glad to get back to "normal" whatever normal is!! I have graduated to puree foods though. just trying to take one day at a time. It's so very hard though. There must be a light at the end of the tunnel. Im gonna keep on keeping on. -

Hey Yall I was banded on November 18th as well and everything went smoothly until I got home and started feeling my sore throat!!!! where did that come from? I have found out since then that I was intubated(sp)....So, after the sore throat goes away, Im still dealing with the gas pains... and just when ive taken all the GAS-X strips I can to get that under control... tada here comes mother nature!! Arrrgh... give me a freaking break. Having a hard time taking in all the required liquids, cant stand the smell of protein anymore, so i have just been sipping on Isopure Plus, Gatorade (clear) and applesauce,,, my follow-up isn't until Nov 8..hope I have at least lost something, but not too sure. I struggle with wanting to snack, but I try to remain strong... very very challenging though.:thumbup: any encouraging words are soooooooo welcome.... -

Yes, I was banded on yesterday, and the gas and sore throat is really painful. I pray that relief comes soon. I have taken tums and baking soda(old south remedy) and it has helped some but not all the way. I've tried to walk it out as suggested but that seems to worsen it. i dont even have an appetite for clear liquids either, i just want it to leave.:confused::crying: I hope youre feeling betta!!
