My main reason for deciding to go ahead with the lapband procedure is to prevent the onset of quadrupel threats of ailments that are hereditary and not at all easy to deal with.  The added benefit is the fact that I will adopt healthier eating habits and of course lose weight.  Being that I have tried countless number of times to change and eat healthier, to do nothing but FAIL, I figured this one last attempt couldn't possibly hurt.  After researching and hearing nothing but positive things about it, I said it's worth a try, so here I am.  My surgery is scheduled for November 18, 2009 and I am doing my pre-op liquid protein diet now and all I can say is that it's definately a challenge, but, I know it will all be worth it in the end.  I'm keeping my eye on the prize and that is a more healthier ME!!!
