I was banded on the 17th. I am eating like I normally would. I was expecting to lose weight by now, but I'm not. I get a fill on the 23rd. I hope it helps. I too worry that I am stretching my pouch. Stay strong!

Hi. I too was banded on the 17th and I am in the same situation as you are. I am eating anything I want. I havn't been on mushy foods in a while. Not losing any weight. I go for a fill on the 23rd and I can't wait. I sure hope it helps. Keep praying and we will both get there.

Hi. You can go to obesityhelp.com and calculate your BMI. I entered 230 at 5'4" and your BMI was 39.4. At 260 your BMI was 44.6. Yeah, most insurance companies require at least 40. Hope this helps. Jen

Hi. Well I'm 10 days post band and I haven't had a fill yet. As far as the burping goes just be glad you can for now. I can't and its very painful. My doc said its common for us to swallow a lot of air at this point. Sorry I don't have more advice to give. Good Luck!

I know how you feel. It can be very painful. I'm 6 days out and today is the first day I haven't struggled with it. Walking, walking, walking helps. My dr. told me I could take infants milicon drops but I got little relief from them. The air got so bad in my shoulder I could've cried. I laid down and the air moved to other places and that was better. Sorry I don't have more advice to give. I'm going through it too.

I know how you feel I'm 5 days post op and air built up in my chest is killing me. Walking seems to help some and when I can't do that anymore I lay down because it redistributes the air to other places and helps with the pain. Hang in there we'll get through this!

Hi, I am glad to hear you are doing so well. I have been weighing and am losing weight I guess since I'm still on liquids. I have a lot of air on my chest and it is somewhat painful. They told me to take infants milicon drops and they help a little. I'm still not feeling great, but I'm trying to make myself feel a little better everyday. No housework for me either. My husband is doing a great job! I may tell him the Dr. said no housework for 6 weeks :0) I wouldn't do that!

I too have been there. I woud've taken the bite though. I'm so happy you didn't! Yeah, the pre-op diet is harder than post-surgery. If you can do that you will be just fine.

Hi Lizzy, I feel the same way you do. I am not nervous about the surgery. But I'm scared to death about what comes afterward. I am an emotional eater, I eat when I am bored, and sometimes I eat just because its there. Is the lapband gonna change all of that. I started my protein diet Tuesday and starved the first couple of days and have been cheating today. But I feel so cranky and depressed when I am hungy. I have only told my husband and my best friend. They are both good support, but all this lays on my shoulders. If I can't even do a 2 week protein diet how am I gonna live the rest of my life with a lapband. Having second thoughts. Jen
