I got the band 1 year ago and I've lost 25 pounds. However, I only had approx. 70 pounds to lose when I got the band. My doctor said that I would be at my goal weight in one year after my surgery. Needless to say, I feel disappointed in myself because I still have 45 pounds to lose. My doctor now says that I am propably genetically predisposed to be the weight I am right now. I know that much of my problem is choosing the wrong foods when I am under stress. I am dealing with the same emotional eating issues that I had before the surgery (obviously) and I don't know how to stop emotionally turning to food in times of high stress.
