Try lemon or lime or another citris like orange squeezed in water for the flavor, and they are a natural sugar so you won't get the up/down feeling. Lemon is also great for you skin and as a diuretic when your retaining water.

WELL SAID !!!!!! -
Hi All, Had my surgery on 11/16 and it went wonderful!!! I had minimal pain (like I had done 200 sit ups) and was walking around after. My sugery took 35 mins. I love, love, loved my doctor!!! His philosophy is that the band is not for weightloss. It is to help you get a new lifestyle, to be healthy. The weightloss is a side effect of that lifestyle. He truely wants you to succeed. If anyone is going to MX, and is scared or looking for a Dr., I completely recommend Dr. Aceves and his team. The hospital I was in was cleaner (yes cleaner) then our hospitals here. The staff was far nicer to me and to eachother also. They were also very concerned about my companion. No one can ever say a negative word to me about going to MX again. I have lost 11lbs as of today (yeah!!!)

Hey Jess02, I'm with you. My B-day is on the 21st so no cake or pumkin pie this year. I figure I'm giving myself a better gift. I just feel sorta bad for my mom. She likes to show her love with cooking (her cooking is not why I'm fat) if I ate her food all the time I'd be okay. It's Mr. McDonald's food that is the trouble.. But she asked what she should make for the holidays and I told her to make what she will and I'll work around it. She's happy for me. I've just got to keep saying this time next year I'll have a great thx giving and have to ask for clothes for x-mas..:ban:

Thank you for the welcome:o We will have to watch out for eachother. I read about all the positive and negative things that can happen and I try to concentrate on the positive and know that any negative can be changed and turned around. I know this will help me change my life. Good to know there are others going through it too.

Any Idea when the clinic in Sacto will open? That would be even better for me.

I have contacted California Pacific Medical Center in San Francisco, and they said they perform fills on patients that have had the surgery in Mexico. They also have satellite clinics, even one in my home town!!! You will need to call 415-561-1310 and do some paper work. The fill cost $575 for the first appointment and $375 after that. Expensive but works for me with time and distance. Thought I'd post for anyone interested
