Help please? liquid coming up at night

I had a pre-existing reflux issue which has been greatly reduced/resolved after being banded. That being said, occasionally I find my band tighten up and have had to be de-filled because I am experiencing heartburn and some reflux at night. As a rule I don't eat anything spicy past lunch time. At night I eat a very small meal. I don't eat at least 2 1/2 hours before going to bed and I drink an 8oz glass of Water 1-1/2 hour before going to sleep to make sure my small pouch is empty. See your doctor. If you take care of these things early on they shouldn't develop into major complications.
  4. I agree. Sounds like you are too tight and need a slight de-fill. You should be able to eat a small balanced meal. Remember the band is a tool you will learn how to use. I was too tight for about a month at one point - over 1cc too tight. Believe it or not my weight loss wasn't as good as it is now that the band is not as tight and I'm eating properly.
  5. Can't believe it's been 16 months since I was banded. I was still breastfeeding when I started my journey. The baby was 9 months old and I was gaining weight. At my heaviest I was 314 pounds. I weighed myself today and I'm now at 242lbs - yeah! The emotional breakthrough about my weight gain has been instrumental in keeping me going. I work with a psychotherapist at CIBO Clinic in Toronto where I was banded. I can now see why and how I became overweight and how my relationship with food is changing. Thank you Lap-Band, I feel so excited about life again. I pat myself on the back everyday because I invested in myself. It's a tool - you learn how to use it.
