I got my lapband put in on Aprill 22nd 2009 and it has been great so far. I was 19 at the time and wieghted 256 pounds and there is a history of severe diabeties in my family so my parents offered to get this surgery for me and I did it. My sister is actually getting hers done today, November 4th 2009. She is well over 300 pounds and i think this will really help her.
