I've never seen E.T., either. -
I want to add Marjon to my list as well as the over 50 gang.

Dr. Mulholland. He is one of the best in Canada. The operation was over 7 hours long. I was out cold and I wish I was still out cold. Ouch! My face hurts and is a bunch of interesting colours and I am almost out of the good painkillers. Argh!!!! I will never, ever do this stunt again. :sick Never!

You could probably get an artist who is still in high school to work cheap and the results would be interesting.
-
I loved Porky's.
-
If I were you I would buy some plain clothes and then offer to pay a local artist to custom punk them. A tag/graffiti artist would like have the skill set required to make your boring clothes look very, very interesting.

I would love to meet DerickM, Laurend, WasaBB, Betsey Jane, BJean, Carlene, DynamoMini, T.O.M., Mrspruett, L8bloomr, Bitteroldhag, BooBoo, Alexandra, Wheetsin, that Kat who lives in New Mexico, MsDad, lisah25, Sunta.... There are more of you out there but I just had facial surgery on Monday and my brain ain't working that great at the moment. :sick

My father's side of the family were Polish Jews. Very few of them survived the Holocaust and those who did were left with severe emotional damage. My mother, a Brit, had the *fun* of living through a long and terrifying war, one which was often conducted through night time air strikes by the way, watching her friends die and her homeland be reduced to rubble. She also had the *fun* of living on rations and freezing throughout the winter months. This is why I personally tend to find a cute or *fun* use of the word Nazi unpleasant. On the other hand, it sure as hell does show disrespect for that murderous tribe of thugs and maybe that's a good thing. Maybe the best thing we can do to ensure that they will never rise again is to laugh at 'em. Who knows??? I do think that anyone who is going to use the term should know the history behind the word, and not simply toss it around like it is meaningless.

It is kinda boring. Maybe if Dave Chapelle had written and directed it.......!?!
-
Nope, you are not crazy - but I think I am. Man, do I hurt!!!! And I kinda look like Michael Caine, a very badly beaten up Michael Caine, at the moment. Arghhhh!:help: Thanks for thinking of me. You are a doll. :kiss2:

Do post it, Wendell. Maybe one of the moderators will make it into a sticky post. That way it wouldn't have to be bumped. It would always be available for the newbies to read.

It sounds like America is a much more violent country than Canada is. It sounds like you have many more violent predators. I think I would want to own a gun, too, if I lived in the United States.

I've got a friend who is a 38 double A. She can't get a bra in that size. I have absolutely no idea what size I am. Buying a bra is going to be a challenge. -
I never watch them either. I find them very boring. I prefer to read about them in the newspapers the next day.

What's your restriction pattern?
green replied to Wheetsin's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
My restriction varies during the day. It also varies depending on what foods I eat. This is why I ticked both boxes. And I am curious, too. What is Luvox? -
If your problem is simply one of portion control the band works very, very well. Sugar fans do have more hard work in front of them. They have to learn to fight their cravings for sweets. It is unfortunate that many sugary treats are soft and can slide through the band easily.

Thanx, grrl, for the invite. I have weighed in on this issue before on R&R and had become tired of discussing it with folks who hold the point of view that guns are a necessary household appliance. The U.S. is the only post-industrialized nation in the world which has such loose regulations concerning gun ownership. It is also the world's leader in gunshot deaths. I live in a large Canadian city which has a population of approximately 3 million. At this time of writing our local death rate for 2007 by shooting is somewhere around 60 people. Most of these have been young black males who belong to gangs and have been shot by rivals. Occasionally an innocent gets caught in the crossfire. This is always a tragedy. These clowns obtain their firepower illegally from your country. Your average honest Canadian citizen does not own a gun and does not, moreover, feel the need to own a gun. We believe that owning a gun does little to protect us but that it may in fact escalate a mugging, rape, or robbery from an admittedly terrifying experience into something which will result in deaths, sometimes of the victim. Most criminals are not killers. They usually want money or items which they can turn into cash and then they leave. When honest citizens own guns disasters can occur. There will be accidental deaths. And there will be an escalation in violence whenever criminal activity does take place. I have only ever met one private citizen who owns guns and he is a gun collector. Up here cops and gang members have guns. Farmers and hunters have rifles. The rest of us live safely without them.

Actors should stick to scripts and avoid trying to think for themselves. It is usually a disaster when they do. :heh:

Funny, that has been my experience, too.... For a long time after I hit goal I would still drift over to the plus sizes only to be chased away by the saleshelp who would point me over to the normo section. It really does take awhile, I found, to get used to the new body. :biggrin1: Now I am trying to pluck up the nerve to go shopping for real bras (for years I have only been wearing jog bras) and more form fitting tops. -

Wow!!! Claramae, that sure is one scary story. -
Hana, do not weaken your position by opting out.

Once again, I must state that I am puzzled by your engagement in this subject. You were the one who chose to resurect this thread, one which has been inactive for months in order to state that no English translation of the Old Covenant/Old Testament/the Tenach exists free of translation errors. Your implication is that the translated document is no longer the, ahem, Divine Word. To tell you the truth, I am inclined to agree with you. I also believe that some of those subtleties which are present in the original document will be lost. This is, as you well know, an issue upon which Muslims are in agreement. This is why all Muslims are required to study/memorise the Qu'ran in its original Arabic. Translations into the local vernacular are considered to be valuable as a spiritual guide to the believer - but only up to a point. Hana, you are right when you say that this is a public forum. You sure do have the right to speak your mind. To tell you the truth, this is one of my favourite cyber spots. I love having the freedom to engage in discussions/debates with my fellow human beings in an environment which is, you may wish to note, relatively open and easy. My concerns vis-a-vis your statements all hinge upon the fact that you have opted to make a statement and then have followed this by opting out

Cool. I paid $340.42 Cdn per pound. Worth every penny. :biggrin1:

A whiff of second smoke from someone who is smoking outdoors is not going to kill ya. The concentration in terms of parts per million is simply not sufficient. Let's not confuse this fact with the fact that you and many others disapprove of the habit. I have no problem with smoking being banned from confined spaces, that is to say indoors. And most certainly, if eating Big Macs results in morbid obesity, other people will be affected. Both medical personnnel and medical facilities do become diverted in order to treat medical conditions arising from obesity and medical insurance fees do rise. Too many Big Macs will affect the life of the organic spinach eater.
