  1. Mouse, it is my opinion that you should chill out concerning this thread. Certainly no one on this site is advocating paedophilia, are they? Some of us may detest Bush, and some of may be liberals, and some of us may even be be atheists but no one here is advocating pederasty. I will also tell you that I took a little extra time today while a friend was visiting my house to drift around this admittedly extraordinarily bizarre and deeply distasteful site. I discovered this site is not overtly pornographic and does purportedly set itself up to assist Christian men to fight those urges which are of a sexual and paedaphilic nature.
  2. Just saw the dress. Go with a fab bracelet or an armload of bracelets would be my vote.
  3. The rule is this: if the dress is extremely simple then you can go heavy on the jewellery provided the colour of the dress will show the jewellery off to advantage. (When the dress is black or white this is a no-brainer.) The more complex the garment, the less jewellery you should wear. Your dress sounds fairly complex in structure (I haven't visited the site yet) so I am inclined to advise you to go light on the jewellery. Wear either a bracelet or a necklace but not both; I figure a good bracelet or even a bunch of them is probably better because your dress already has a lot going on. This also means that you cannot wear big earrings, you know.:rolleyes As for my credentials for being this bossy, well, I used to live in France and I have a lot of gay friends.:heh:

When the truth is inconvenient . . .

Jachut, I am really impressed with the alternative uses for hemp which you have found. Bravo, girl!:clap2: As for up here in Canada, by 2012 incandescent light bulbs will no longer be sold in the country and so it will be curly bulbs for everyone. A lot of Canadians are taking this news very, very hard. The newspapers have been publishing letters of complaint for days now about the eventual government mandated disappearance of the incandescent bulb.:phanvan And in Toronto we recycle baby diapers, used women's sanitary materials, paper towels, sanitary tissues, kitty litter, all kitchen waste including bones. This - ugh! - stuff goes into the same bin as the more traditional compostables - tea leaves, vegetable peelings, coffee grounds - and then once a week the garbage men take it all away.

    I apologize

Yah, the rep power thing could have become very weird. All the lefties could have ended up with negative rep, eh.:heh:

    Yeah, that's right...

It is evident that Osama bin Laden has both considerable intelligence and a deep religious passion. Though I hate the damage which he has caused I do respect him as an opponent and I can see why his followers would feel pride in him. I know what you are saying, Fluffy, about those idiots who disturb military funerals and I am inclined to agree. This is no place for protestors. People are grieving the loss of their own and must be given the quiet and space in which to do so. It is the only decent and humane thing to do!
  7. I had been whining about needing lipo and a tummy tuck and a friend of mine suggested the lap band. She had heard about it on a local morning talk show.
  8. Haha! I knew that was why you had posted that site! As for pedophilia ever becoming recognised by society as a healthy form of sex, I don't think that this will ever happen. It is well understood that this activity does damage the child's emotional developement and, if the child is very young, it also damages the child physically. It is interesting for some of us to visit this site and see that the Bible can be used to justify almost anything. At one time the practice of slavery was justified by the Bible.
  9. I just took a quick trip to the site. It was a very, very weird experience. I wonder if they voted Republican?:heh: Thanks for posting this. :rolleyes
  10. I've got one of those Betty Crocker cookbooks. It's a leftover from my marriage. And I've got a Joy of Cooking which dates from that era, too.:clap2: Man, those books are more than 30 years old!:phanvan

    Oooh, I love cats!

The OH forum sounds very, very boring. Life is more interesting when there is a variety of view points.

    Susan's Solemn Silliness

Good luck, grrl! I'll be waiting to read all about it!
  14. Good to hear from ya, Cloe. How are the lambs? And that cute husband of yours?

    Interested but many questions

I think that you should get your husband on board concerning this project. You should then visit the bank which holds your mortgage to find out the cheapest way to borrow money for the surgery. Then shop around at a few other banks to see if they can do any better. If your mortgage is near the time of renewal you can offer that as an inducement to get a cheaper loan while you are shopping at other banks. You will also need your husband's help while you are in your recovery period. Good luck with this and I hope that you will be able to be a bandster. The band has really helped so many of us.
  16. I bought The 15-Minute Cook at a local discount book store this afternoon while out for a walk with hubby. It has lots of photographs and each recipe states the ETA of the food at the table. I need the pics - for inspiration, you know - and appreciate that nothing takes very long. I'm hoping that this will inspire me to branch out from my very limited menu.:tired And thanks, Wheetsin, for the info on anorexia. My GF certainly does suffer from this but absolutely refuses to talk about her health. She is now on Effexor.

There is a plastic surgeon up here in Toronto who has built himself quite a reputation on his genital expertise. He says that he can make 'em longer and he can also rebuild a woman's equipment, too, including giving her back the physical aspect of viginity.:heh: It seems that he has a large clientele for this from those cultures where virginity is important.

Quite some time ago I came across a Christian sex toys site. Their mission was to sell sex aids to Christian married couples. The site was, if I remember correctly, located in British Columbia, Canada.... They promised to ship their loot anonymously.
  19. Wow! I never knew that before.... This is interesting. Will you tell me more? This poor woman was my best friend in university and she was my only bridesmaid. She was both brilliant and very, very beautiful. Now her health is ruined and she looks like a street person. At one point she lost all her hair and at another point she went blind with cataracts. She has been rushed to hospital because she was vomitting blood and she now has advanced osteoporosis and walks with canes - when she does walk at all! For a little while she was on welfare. She now takes handicapped transit to work. This woman is eleven months younger than I am. She always used to be a party girl even though she performed well in university and has held some pretty interesting jobs. She has the worst taste in men though! Underperforming and uneducated alcoholics with anger management issues. I have kind of drifted away from her over the years as a result of her men and her drinking. I guess this is too much information considering that my inquiry had to do with understanding anorexia, eh?:phanvan
  20. I never watch any of the cooking shows but a friend of mine who is a card-carrying anorexic and a serious alcoholic has them running on her TV all the time. I find this very odd when she exists on beer, cigarettes and the occasional half sandwich.
  21. Though PaulaDeen's website does seem sort of corny I was still inclined to lick my monitor. I guess this means that I am interested, eh.:hungry: LOL:rolleyes:
  22. Keep us in the loop, girl.
  23. We don't have Paula Deen up here in the socialist wilderness. Who or what is she?

When the truth is inconvenient . . .

Well, our household operates without a hairdryer, an electric blanket, a water pump, a clock radio, and a dishwasher since ours went on the fritz last fall. We have a vaccuum but don't vaccuum as often as we should! We only use one TV but our tenant also one, too, and between the 3 of us there are 3 active computers in the house. She also has an aquarium which is the size of a coffin. As for fossil fuel consumption, we only use my husband's truck - which has an in-line 6 engine - for him to get to work or us to go to his parents' cottage. I should mention that we also use a lot of fluorescent and halogen light bulbs. All of this sounds okay but for the past four months our energy consumption has risen by between 100 and 150 kw per month as compared to our consumption at the same time a year ago. I am both baffled and dismayed by this.
  25. Well, this is a real drag, grrl!:cry You seem to be doing all the right things. Maybe you have hit your plateau really early in the game. Have you talked to your surgeon's office about this? They might have some ideas.
