Normal, just get your pants out with stretchable waist and take a walk. Also, use gas-x strips for relief. best wishes. Karen

Wildrose, you are right. But if you are not on restriction, you will have to consider it a diet. For us vets, we know what we can and can't tolerate, not can't eat. I can't tolerate leafy anything, lettuce, spinach, etc. I can eat rice, and mashed potatoes, but stay away from bread. Bread has always been a major downfall for me when dieting, and can't eat most of it anyway. I do eat croutons, and hard rolls at times. And as one of the other people said, I do have pizza. but stop at one piece, because no more will fit!!! Best wishes, I hope this helps. Karen

Look under the groups on this site. A lot of times people list their locations. Best wishes, I have never attended a support group, but have family and friends that are very supportive of me. And, as Maddygram said, I come here for uplifting support(just like a support bra, heheh). Merry Christmas, happy holidays. Karen

Best wishes, the bowl problem is why I hate pain meds because they have always blocked me. I pray that you have found relief and are on the road to recovery! -

Congrats on your weightloss. Best part of the "tool" is that it keeps you on the straight and narrow. I am glad to hear that you are doing well, remember tho' the glow may come off and you will have to start working harder for your pounds to come off. keep up the good work, and Merry Christmas, Happy new Year to you! Karen -
Thanks, Sparkplug, you said something that needs to be said. Merry Christmas, everyone. I, now, need to go start prep for dinner tomorrow,as I always host. My 1st year, I just watched everyone gouge themselves. This year, 4 out of 6 adults have lapband! Not much gouging going on in my house. hah!

You are not going to pass away from a piece of fudge. Don't feel too guilty. As others said just adjust what else you eat, and take a walk.

Day 4 Post Op - Successful Trip to a Restaurant
kll724 replied to phdizzle's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You are very lucky. My surgeon, who also, did lapband on both my kids and son-in-law, makes us do clear liquids for 10 days and full liquids for 10 days before moving to mushy. My son-in-law has just moved to mushies this week after surgery on Nov. 30. Best wishes and congrats on a successful trip to the restuarant -

I wanted it, I got it, but it's bittersweet?

Normal, but think of the fun you will have shopping later. My wedding ring finally fits me again! I had to have it cut off me when I was married 17 years, I am now on my 43rd year. I had it put back together, it is a 6 I am proud and never remove it. But, all the replacements, now go on my right hand or middle fingers. Best wishes, and Happy New Year to all! Karen -
Best NSV ever!!!Karen

Not to steal your thread, but b-52 you look great!!!

That is excessive. I think that some people are not aware that the lapband isn't the magic bullet they had assumed it was. Good luck,to him, Maybe he will come her for support. Karen

It is very hard to find, but keep looking, it is there, if you look hard! I think that Walmart carries their brand, too! Karen

I agree, it is great to see those people who have successfully lost weight and are living healthier lives. Thanks Missy, thanks Alax for highlighting he on the last issue before the New year. Karen -
I found that the gas pains came worse about day 5. That seems to be when the pain in teh left shoulder started. I found that walking helped move the gas. if too bad, try Gas-x strips! best wishes, Karen

I agree, you need to take a walk, do it for you! We are not being judgmental, we just want to help, because you asked. When I worked, my breaks were walks. I worked in a large building, my friends and I would walk the stairs. Even 15 mins. makes a difference, even 5!!No excuses. Love and best wishes to you! Karen
