    Snow storm

Stay safe folks up north. I remember Nor'easters well. Those were the only storms that scared me when I lived in Maryland. the February storms in Maryland were always memorable. Living in D.C. area, when they hit, the world ended! But, I remember a Feb. where D.C. area got over 22 inches at Washington's birthday! Hated Washington's birthday weekend storms! LOL! Best wishes, folks! Karen

    fingernails

this conversation is about as weird as the nails were, but I guess when you are preparing for the "big one" there is not much else to do!!!Stay warm, and dry. I will be thinking about the nor'easter and hurricane force winds up there while i stay sunny and warm here in central Florida. Just has to have my car air conditioner recharged today, it was about 90 degrees!

    Do l need a fill?

It does not sound like you need a fill. if you don't think you do, and your surgeon doesn't, then probably you are okay. bets wishes, Karen

    SO MANY QUESTIONS

I was retired by the time I had my surgery, so can't say about going back to work. But, I was pretty good by the weekend, I had surgery on Friday and was up for church on Sunday morning, singing in the choir! My surgeon had his done in Mexico by Dr. Ortiz, and claims it was on Friday and he was doing surgery back here in Florida by Monday morning!

How Fast Do You Drink A Protein Shake??

Just don't try gulping it down, as it might go down slowly

    Cream Soup on liquids post-op

The assistant in my surgeon's office told my son that cottage cheese is considered a solid and that he should not be having it until he was past the mushy stage. He has trouble eating it now, though, and that is after 1 1/2 years!

    Am i sliming/stuck?

what you are describing sounds to me like you need a slight unfill. What you are going thru sounds like it is GERD. If you continue with this, you can get a skip or esophagus trouble. Please call your surgeon! Karen

    Happy But Disappointed

Jesrsyguy, you are doing fantastic job. My surgeon would also refuse to give a fill with that weight loss. my s-i-l had his done in November, I am not sure that he has had a fill yet, either!
  17. Glad to here that you are better!

    Cream Soup on liquids post-op

yaya9805, you need to discuss this with your surgeon's office. My surgeon had me on clear liquids, I think for 2 weeks, may have been 1. Check with the surgeon's office!

    Cream Soup on liquids post-op

I did not blend my soups, but my son does all the time. Only thing is, he also, burnt himself and got 2nd degree burns on his left hand pouring the hot soup into his blender! Be careful if you blend! I had the same soups as Mis73 mentioned. I particularly like the butternut squash!

    Veteran starting all over again...

Welcome back Tina. Are you in DC? I lived in Maryland for 40 years before moving to Florida. Congrats on the good news on both your cancer and your new bay boy! With your great attitude, you will lose the weight!
  21. Nanu, that is what my surgeon said to! I dropped to 140, and was told I was too thin and drawn, he wants me at 150.
  22. You are young, I would try get under 200 lbs. I agree 140 is pretty good, but maybe too far away to put that as a goal, try smaller goals 1st best wishes!
