First of all, welcome! Please fill out your profile, too. Look, it sounds like you have been having a tight band, and then getting sick with a slip and then the surgeon takes drastic step of taking all the fill out. I have been there. But after having a slip, my surgeon did a revision. I,also , gained, but not my whole loss. I am now at 5 cc and living in the "green" zone. I never have kept a too tight band. You don't say if you have been going back to your surgeon for follow-ups. Even after getting to goal, I have kept close contact with my surgeon. I am now seeing him every 4-6 months but if need be, I would schedule sooner. Take it easy, and try not to get to the too tight not eating place this time. Best wishes! Karen

Calm down, if you think that you overate, or ate something too soon after surgery, go back to clear liquids. best wishes, Karen -

So glad to hear that you are doing better Donna! Have a nice walk on Saturday, enjoy the sunny weather! Karen -
I can't imagine allowing anyone but medical personnel to remove my stitches. That said, I, also, had dissolving stitches, inside. I came home with steri-strips only on the outside. I was not to remove them, they were supposed to fall off by themselves. I would contact my local doctor's to see if that office would remove the stitches for me if I did not want to drive 5 hours. Best wishes, Karen

Great NSV! They come in many ways. this is a victory for you!!!

I agree with Tara, Roxie. this is your journey and your lapband. Most people can tolerate some meats, and you really should be eating your protein. Best wishes for your 6 week trip to your surgeon's office. karen

I told my hubby yesterday that I am pills free for the 1st time in forever! I do sometimes take a Tylenol, and I can take it whole. But I am 3 12/ years out and do not keep a tight band. I am afraid of taking most things because I have gotten them caught. I do chewable/ gummy vitamins. Karen

Cheating whom? As the others said you are not winning anything, just your own challenge to yourself! If you feel that you want to jump start your month of April by hitting your 300 lbs goal, then go ahead, others do liquid diets at time on this site! Karen

On the other hand, I don't chug. I still sip, maybe an ounce at a time. I am 3 1/2 years out and find that I am used to sipping. I guess its your preference! Clear liquids is one thing, don't gulp things like smoothies, they need a chance to go down!!!Karen

You look good! Be proud of the hard work! Karen

My surgeon always has his patients drink clear liquids for 2 days and full liquids for 2 days just like when you get a fill. Only time I did not do this was when I had not eaten in days. But, you will be swollen, so stick to liquids until swelling goes down.Karen

A tiny little unfill helps a lot. You need to not eat sliders, as they will not give you the protien you need. Try eating fish, if not regular meats. Fish, for me, is easier to chew and digest. best wishes, tell your doctor you're having problems. Karen

I had a long time before I could eat a banana. i mostly ate them in smoothies.

i had to spend the night. But got moved to a room for recovery right away. Had my surgery in the am, and was told could go home at 4pm. But, then was told my insurance demanded overnight stay. I was just as glad! I had 1 hour ride home.

So true, must never be doing it for someone else. You need to please YOU! Just as gaing to AA needs to be for you, no one can make you go, no one can make you lose weight!

I agree with ajtexas. i have coffee 1st thing and then have my yogurt or whatever I decide for breakfast later. Anyway, I and most people do not tend to eat when they 1st get up. drink something warm to wake up your band. Good luck

My motto has been if they are talking about me, they are leaving others alone. I am sure that your lady is jealous of the new you! It is kind of a NSV of sorts, isn't it! You do look great! Karen
