I need my band removed
kll724 replied to Seanbrianhallman's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Best wishes, whatever you decide. Congrats on your drastic weight loss, and I agree if you haven't been to a lapband doctor recently, go before you remove the band. It may be gall bladder or something else. Karen -
Liquids should pass freely. Don't rush yourself with trying other foods. Find a local doctor, or fill location. Best wishes, Karen

Pain when taking deep breath in
kll724 replied to Dlaurel's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Do you get up and walk? Also, coughing some helps relief of gas and gets air into your lings. Take care. Karen -
Best wishes for a great recovery!

who here has been banded for at least 2 years and has had NO complications?
kll724 replied to Lapbandster's topic in WLS Veteran's Forum
Love reading others stories! I am 3 1/2 years out. Karen -
Best wishes, and take care of yourself after surgery. It is not the easiest to get over! I had a hysterectomy at 32. Good that you have a lapband already, it can cause you to hang onto weight! Take care, Karen

Anyone cheated on the pre-op diet, but did great with the band?
kll724 replied to victoriously's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Listen to YOUR doctor not someone else's. Who are you cheating? Get back and do what you were prescribed to do! Best wishes, and congratulations on you upcoming surgery! Karen -

Looking good, time for new clothes! Karen -
My surgeon's office has us fill out a survey before each appointment. if you answer yes to certain questions, you might need a fill. It sounds to em that you probably do not, but it is best to talk to you surgeon and decide between the 2 of you. Best wishes and great results so far! Karen

pain in upper left side abdomen
kll724 replied to Angela from nz's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
22 lbs is quite a bit to gain at 26 weeks. I think that you are gaining too quickly, and you should see your lpbnd dr and your obgyn for advice. best wishes, Karen -
A pleasant surprise
kll724 replied to i (used to) love candy's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Congratulations on your NSV. If you feel that your daughter can succeed and understands the ins/outs etc of lapband, then if she is approved by insurance, it might be right for her! I agree with ali is changing and tmf. Best wishes.Karen -
Yes, it is a good idea to wait, because now you are swollen. However, if your surgeon's office is like mine, they don't charge if you have the fill removed within 72 hours. Bets wishes, try staying on clear liquids today. Karen

' PB-ing', What is it!?
kll724 replied to Bandedlexi's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
PB=productive burp. It doesn't necessarily have to come after your 1st fill. My 1st experience was before a fill. It is worst because you can't always stop it. Bet wishes to you and fingers x'd that you don't get your 1st pb soon. Karen -
Great NSV!!!enjoy shopping!

I agree with everyone!! Woohoo! it is not often that everyone is agreement on the board. But it is important that you eat your protein and stop eating those sliders. A couple chips and salsa is okay, but eating a bowlful and not eating anything else is dangerous. You need protein, and you should not be vomiting everytime you try to eat. See your surgeon and nutritionist ASAP for advice on what to do. Best wishes, Karen

Congrats!

It takes awhile for your body temps to catch up. I am better now after 3 1/2 years. After 1st losing 100 lbs, I was cold real cold.

Great!

Best wishes, lorabeth, sorry that you have this issue. I, also, had a slip back in 2011, I had revision, not removal. I would not be happy without my band. Karen
