    Restriction!!

I agree, restriction is good, but just as anything, too much of a good thing is bad!

  4. Gaylene, you do sound too tight, may want to ask for a slight back off of your fill! Goodluck karen
  5. You know, I was worried that it would take too many people to carry me out on a stretcher if someone had to call EMT. I thought, how embarrassing that would be!
  6. Your head sounds as if it is in the right place. Good that you have seen a specialist.

    Just to catch up

Hi Tamie, congrats on maintaining! I, also, had port revision and have had a harder time catching up with my weight gain. I am about 30 lbs away from recapturing my goal weight, would be happy with just 20. I can no longer eat dairy, allergy I chose to ignore for years. So, my treat is so coconut ice cream. Best wishes, by the way, my lapband anniversary is Oct 30, 2009. And I had my revision surgery in November 2011, too.Karen
  8. Congratulations on your weightloss. Yes, celiac is an awful thing to have to fight with weight, too. My son, who has had surgery 2 years ago, has known of his celiac for 10 years. When he got married, he was unaware of the disease then, he went on honeymoon to DisneyWorld. He spent 5 days laying either at the pool or in the bed. He has a very supportive skinny wife, 5'8" inches 110 lbs. She stays away from gluten and (eats like a horse). She finishes all the meals he can't. My son had been about 325 before losing 100 lbs. He has stalled his weightloss, but surgeon is still happy with him. He went from a 3x to large shirts and 48 to 36 pants. Good luck on your continued self awareness and value. Karen

Embarrassed to go for a fill..

Why are you ashamed of 10 pounds loss? I think that is fantastic! That is an average of 2 lbs a week. That is right on. I think that after 2 months I had lost about 6-8 pounds and surgeon was still happy with my loss. Congratulations on the scale moving downward!!!!
  10. Cute! I am and have been cleaning fairy for 43 years. But, thankfully I have a supportive hubby, too! In fact, after my surgery, I was convinced that I could not drive for at least a week or two, so made him drive me everywhere! He still likes to do most of the driving. I am not sure that he knows how to even turn on the washer or dryer, but he does know how to pick up his underwear! Haha! Love your post and spouses that are supportive to our efforts! Karen

    Caffeine (coffee!!)

I think I was a "good girl" for about a week after hospital. I was drinking clear tea. Then I could not take it anymore and started to drink my coffee with skim milk!

    Lying About LapBand

I told people that I felt would understand and needed to know. Others just knew that I was watching what I ate and exercising. Both true.
  13. As long as all you do at the gym is walk, you can go back. But stay away from anything that will cause stress. It is probably best to just walk at home or mall, or wherever you walk.

    what do i do?

What catfish said! Are you following your surgeon's food options? I was only on liquids still at your point. I ate when I was hungry, but did not exceed my recommended amount. Restriction will come later, healing is for now!

  16. ((((Hugs))))welcome back. I know there are many folks here who will condemn you. But, you are a strong woman and know your mistakes. There are so many here who can learn from your story if they are willing to listen. I only hope that you can lose the right way this time. My own daughter was have esophageal problems, then she read that it can lead to cancer. That scared her and she had some fluid removed, too! Be strong and come here for support. i am glad that you have a supportive husband! Karen

    Nuquil

Your doctor is the only one that can truly advice you whether you can or can not have a medicine. I have used Nyquil or Dayquil on occasion.

Hi Ho, Hi Ho, It's Off to Work We Go!

Great, as usual! I don't work, retired, but my social group is church. I heard everything there, too! One of my church friends, also, had lpbnd surgery from my surgeon. She was of the tell no one mode; he advised her to keep herself "honest" to tell everyone! She only 1st told me, I was the person who referred her. Then she shared it with 2 or 3 others. Then she told everyone! Not everyone knows that I have had the surgery. I told the people who needed to know.

When is it time for TT?

I think that once you have lost a lot of weight, most doctors want you to maintain for a while before TT. But I am not, personally, knowledgeable, as I have not had it done. I just have read from others experience
  22. CALM down! Go back to following your surgeon's rules. I am sure that you will be okay! But know that "slider" foods can sabotage your weightloss just as much as overeating! Back away from the chips, gold fish, pretzels, ice cream, etc.!Best wishes. Karen
