Oh Cheryl, I so agree. Aftercare is probably the most important thing you can get from your lapband surgeon and office. -
Hi Bkhuffman, I am Karen, also. I had a slipped band back in 2011. The surgeon went in and adjusted it and did not need to replace it. I am in the "green zone" since repairing the slip. I have been green for about a year now. I had to have the .2 cc unfill to get me there. I am easily filled at 5 cc. Best wishes, I did not even think ab out replacing my band with a sleeve or anything else.

Welcome, welcome, welcome! 10 1/2 years is excellent. I think the only person I know that has been nearly that long is my surgeon who went to Mexico for his surgery and then trained under Dr Ortiz, too!

Woohoo! Awesome job!

I don't agree that gall bladder surgery is a piece of cake. I was much sicker with it than with my lapband! Then I went back in the hospital 12 days after original surgery to have the stones removed from my bile duct after I got pancreatis! Be careful!
-
Me too, but worse part was my pcp was on vacation and left someone else in charge who didn't think I had gall bladder problems. My urine was bright red by the time my gall bladder was removed! My pain felt like hot knife being stabbed and turned! Best wishes! Gall bladder pain is not fun!

I agree, but its hard to not want to spoil yourself too often, I stay away from ice cream, becasue I like it too much. I do treat myself to a peace of chocolate, tho'

I propped myself with a pillow on both sides to prevent rolling!

Congrats, and thanks for sharing a great NSV!

What a awesome NSV! But you need to block him on your Facebook page if you already haven't. You neither need nor want a stalker on your Facebook or in your life! Best wishes, and as others have said, great revenge! -
Diarrhea and cramping after a fill
kll724 replied to Laurie8855's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sounds like maybe a stomach virus but shouldn't be relay\ted to your fill. As Mis73 said, call your surgeon's office. -
I would never get through the day without my coffee to start out. There are studies both ways, good and bad. It is a stimulant for me, and tea does not do it! Best wishes, and try following doctors orders!

In 2 weeks you could look like this!
kll724 replied to Josie55's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Best wishes! -
Can't recommend anything, but welcome and best wishes.

It does sound like you are already in the green zone. You definitely are losing fast. 3-4 lbs in a week is quite a lot. You stated that you are satisfied for 3 hours. SO I,personally, agree with your nutritionist, and would not recommend a fill. But I am NOT a doctor! Karen
