LOL! Sorry for that, but made me grin, aren't they all alike! Mine is gone now, but she hardly ever had nice thing to say! God love her! I was warned by a sister-in-law who married into the family as I did, that the women of the family kind of ganged up against the outsiders! I have been married for 43 1/2 years and still feel it!

Acid reflux, vomitting, coughing all night
kll724 replied to Kellys's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Dear bandofhope, please see your bariatric doctor, as soon as you can, if you are having the same trouble as Kathy759. I, also, had the trouble, and my band had slipped. It is a dangerous situation. Good luck! Karen -
and they are yummy! I, also, add a little hot sauce to spice it up.

The Lap Band gave my Mother Stomach Cancer!!
kll724 replied to Sdunn's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I am sorry for your loss. yes, I am aware that you can get esophageal cancer from too much acid and and GIRD, both of which you can get without lapband. but, yes, if a person is not careful, and keeps their band so tight that they do have a lot of GIRD they do have the chance of developing cancer of the esophagus, this was confirmed by my own surgeon. God bless you in your loss. Karen -
I know what you mean, sometimes I just don't. It has been almost 4 years, so many people don't know that I have it, because I met them since I lost weight. Many don't remember the "fat" lady in the choir at church. I don't ever want to go back, so "yes" i do need it! Best wishes!

How often do you get fills?
kll724 replied to donna12's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My surgeon, when a patient 1st starts out, can be a little aggressive, but by the time a patient is at your level, he is a little leery to add much. Mostly, in my case at least, my fills were very slow after 16 months. -
I, also, drink, (but mostly take sips) before meals. I try to keep the after meals to a minimum. I try to follow the 30-60 mins after. Sometimes its hard to do. But generally, if I take a drink, i ts only a sip to clear my palette! Karen
