Congrats, that is a huge NSV!

So true, any thing over 5 cc for me is too tight. So, I have to control the old fashioned way! But, it is much easier when your band says, "no, you are not eating anymore."!

One lady asked me if I was sick. I did not change my drivers license for 3 years, and when I pulled it out, people went WOW! I finally proudly changed it before my birthday! ( driving 100 miles round trip and gathering all the information for it was stopping me).

Info Seminar...will I be the only one there?
kll724 replied to flipper72's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
When I went, there was at lest 20 people there. I have heard that some of the seminars are so full, that if you call within a week or so, they will have you come to the next one. I think that about 10 people is just right, tho'. Unlike the other people, my surgeon does lapbands. So, that was all that the attendees were there for! -
Mine said 2 days clear and 2 days full liquids. But that is my surgeon. Follow your surgeon's advice, that is what you paid for! Congrats on your great weightloss!

Good for you, nice NSV! And I was always hitting Goodwill for their better racks. You can pick up some pretty nice things for low prices, good place while you lose. KAren.

Me too Missy! If I splurge, I order the same. But, since staying away from ice cream and dairy, I stay away from fastfoods, now, too!
-
I, usually, order off the appetizer menu or share with my hubby. Of course, being over 55, I can order senior, too! But no one questions. Also, anymore, no one questions asking for a box immediately, either. Stay away from milk shakes, if you can, BAD!!!

Stay strong! You can do it. We have all gone through ":bandster hell". You should be soon time for you to move to mushies or at least full liquids . Much better when you move to full liquids. Best wishes. -

Not recognizing yourself in a mirror! Here's one, telling hubby, "she sure has a a small butt", and him saying, "you are too"! -
Best wishes for the upcoming Halloween, and then Thanksgiving, in the USA. We all have struggles, but the band is helpful to keep us from really overdoing!

Introduction: Fat even when I was skinny...

Saying you live in the DC area, makes sense to go out of state! A lot of people in that area go "out of state"( I lived in Maryland for 40 years, so am aware). Go where you feel comfortable, even out of state! -
I had my band today

I think week two gas is worse than week one! Just keep walking, and taking something to relieve, hot water bottle, shoulder rub...Best wishes! -
Belching is definitely normal! Just think of yourself as one of the "guys"! HAHA!

I agree with tmf. I want to add that, my testimony in the the "Big Lapband Book" can be seen, I said the same thing as you. I was part of TOPS in high school but wore a 9/11 and never hit 140, but I was "fat", because others were not! I have yoyo'd all my adult life. You need a support system as tmf stated. Good luck, Karen -
Not to hijack a thread, but this is a wonderful testimony to your father! God blessed you with him, and now you can bless others, too!
-
My answer is smaller meals, watching what I put into my mouth and exercise. All true! tonifrdabronx, you are doing great!
-
Wonderful news, you are blessed!
