I don't visit other sites, I don't wan tto hear all aout how bad the lapband is. I love my band,(most of the time), but, sure, there aer complicatiosn, adn I have seen many people that have had gastric bypass, and had more complicatiosn than we do. So, don't visit those sites becaue they are lapband haters!(maybe they are just jealous of success)!

I had home made jambalya, lastnight, and the rice was okay for me. And I bet you will have to wear mote clothes this winter than lst! I did, cold hits hard after being a bigger person and losing your extra "coat". -

I have a 10 cc band, and only 5 cc in it. It sounds like you are similar to me. You could try another 1/2 cc but, I was never able to stand that much. I was stuck a lot with more than 5, and had to have it removed twice when I tried to go over twice! Only you know your body! I don't want to be a "Dolly Downer". Best wishes, maybe others will be better help.

Great I am happy for you, unfortunately, I was not so lucky. Band does take education, and I so agree with the ideas that you have to take charge! Eating, wherever you are, will always be the same! Best wishes to all newbies and others. -

Never followed it, but I agree with what the others says, vomiting can and will cause abuse of your lapband. -

I agree with NaNa! I see my surgeon every 2-3 months just to keep an eye on myself. I guess, if I felt that I was totally in control, which after 4 years, I should be, I would wait longer between appointments. My visits to him keeps me honest with myself and him, kind of like WW followups! Karen

My surgeon has his patients follow same plan as fills, 2 days clear liquids, 2 days full liquids! Best wishes!!!

What do you order at restaurants after weight loss surgery?

Well, since most of my family eat gluten free, we ask for either gluten free rolls or no rolls. Them my daughter, son and I have had lapband surgery, so when going with them, which is who I usually eat with, we order either 1/2 meals or off the appetizer menu. One time, we were at a DisneyWorld restaurant, and had their French onion soup, gluten free and then shared a very small desert. Both my son and I were quite satisfied! -
Today is my official 4th bandiversary. Although I did not start my membership for 3 more days aftere my surgery.

Mine barely puts you into twilight. But you have to have someone else to drive you, and then go home and sleep for 4 hours to give your eyes a rest!
