kll724 replied to finsmama's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Best wishes, let us know how it went! -
Yes, it sound slike he suspcts a slip. My surgeon has me stand in front of the floroscope, or whatever its called. he can tell if it slipped or if I am too tight. Best wishes!!!

When I set the table, I still use a salad plate and like B-52, my band controls the amounts I can eat. So I do not try to overeat, but might try a little of this and that. Happy Thanskgiving to all!

I agree. For some, 100 lbs is only 1/2 way or 1/4 to goal. Others, 100 lbs is their goal. So it depends on starting weight, and it does seem that the folks who have more lose lose the 1st 100 quicker than others. Best wishes, all

Best wishes, we are here for you. And as B-52 stated sometimes you have to realize what caued your refulx. I can't eat past 8. If I do, I will be up all night caoughing, too! Your surgeon will not yell at you, reflux is common and taking the fil out is the fix. Make sure that you did not have a slip, too! -
Congratulations to you! You have a great size baby boy there! Glad that you were able to lose your pregnancy weight. I found that nuring got me back into shape. Are you nursing him? Also, I pushed mine up/down hills in a carrage for exercise! Best wishes to you and yours, and Happy Thanksgiving!

Know/Recognize The Difference.

Great advise! Thanks for this, newbies and oldies sometimes need reminders! Head hunger can be our biggest enemy! -
It has been about 6-months to a year since I had a unfill. I am great unless I eat something that doesn't like my band. It started 2 days agao, and I have had to be gentle with my band. I will be okay, but even after 4 years, I still make mistakes!

Welcome Rae! You are doing great! Congrats on your weightloss and finding this site! -
I am glad that you had enough removed to get back to eating better. Too tight is real bad! I have been there, too! I still can't sleep after eating and not allowing my food to pass through the band. i have been tired recently, and fell asleep in the easy chair. well I woke up coughing and choking, it was a couple hours before I was normal. YIPES!!!

Banded 6Yrs...success And Struggle
kll724 replied to missyjk79's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I had a revison, and I have had a problem losing since that 2 years ago. I can't get a fill, because I am "green" and any further fill will make me too full. I am tracking what I eat with "my fitness pal". It helps to know what you are eating! I have restriction, so in my cae it was eating too much of a bad thing! You can get back on track, if you want to, best wishes! -
Here, here! I am so glad that you said this and you are a successful person I can agree with! Congrats!
-
Best wishes what ever you decide
-
Well, I am not your surgeon, but my surgeon suggests 2 days clear and 2 days full liquids. So, if you did that, today would be full liquids and not solids. MAybe try going back to liquids to see if that calms the problem. (by the way, your pains sound alot like I felt when I had a gallbladder attack)!! Best wishes, Karen

Happy birthday to you, Carolinagirl! Hope that you Celebrate with a nice ride on your new bike! Best wishes for many, many more!

That is a great NSV, and story! Hurrah!

It all depends on how you look and feel. I set my goal lower than my surgeon did. He set it for 150, I said 140. He insists that when we women get to a certain age, we can carry a little more weight and look better. Don't know?
