The Siren's Song Of The Last Bite....
kll724 replied to Terry Poperszky's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Lol! Terry! If we have been veterans for awhile, most of us have been there. Doesn't seem possible that last little bitty bite will do it, does it? Well been there, trying not to do it again! Karen...aka..kll724 -
Climb back out of your hole that you are putting yourself into, and dust yourself off. You are much to abusive of your one failing! We all have had an error in judgement. Today is a new day!! Karen...aka...kll724

It sounds to me, that the gas they gave you may have caused some swelling. How are you today? I think maybe a day or two on liquids would be helpful! I hope that you feel better. Karen...aka..kll724

I have been in the green zone for quite awhile. It doesn't mean that I still have no "head hunger". i do! I sometimes see something on TV, and say "Its been a long time since I had that". But, I really have no appetite for it! When you say you are not in the green zone, just what does that mean to you? Green zone should mean that you eat, and then are not hungry for 3-5 hours. It should not mean that you are not able to eat, but, that you are satisfied with a very small amount! Maybe, rethink your definition of green zone and restriction! Best wishes, Karen...aka..kll724

After being on liquids for a few days, you probably won't feel anything. But, going back on normal foods you will. If you have a stuck episode, you will be swollen, too! So you might need to go back to liquids again. If you continue having trouble, you might be too tight and need a slight unfill. Best wishes, Karen...aka..kll724

Walking helps most! But around day 6-10 you might, (will most likely) get left shoulder pain, it is the gas! You will probably need your gas-x then! best wishes, Karen...aka..kll724

I am sorry, I don't have a clue on this. I had my hysterectomy when I was 32. But for years following it, I would get the feeling of going into my time of the month. So, it kind of fits that you would get the :"feeling" of your tom. But, as mrsto said, you should check with your surgeon as to why you can't eat/drink during that time. Best wishes, Karen...aka..kll724

Best Protein Drink For Supplement? Opinions Please!
kll724 replied to Wendydarling19's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Unfortunately, what tastes good to some, won't taste good to others, so, you may have to shop around for what you like. I like from GNC bpi sports Weight loss premium Protein (whey )vanilla cream.I have this in the am with a banana and strawberry. This smoothie tides me over until afternoon. My surgeon doesn't have a problem with drinking a protein smoothie and many other folks do too! Karen..aka..kll724 -
Well, my surgeon's office sells us what they want us to use for Protein shakes. he, also, wants us on them pre-op and post op. Best wishes for your surgery and a speedy recovery..kll724
