    Eating problems

I agree with missy. If you are not too tight, you may have had a slip. Best wishes!
  3. boymom, that is where the gas settles. Take some gas-x and walk!!!My gas pain did not start until around day 5-10. So,most people are not always right!

    One year bandaversary

Daisy, congrats on your 1st bandiversary!!
  5. We all burp, it is one of the things that happens with lapbanders. And by all means, burping is the better way to get rid of the gas they pump into you for surgery! Walking will help release it. best wishes!
  6. I disagree tmf, there is no way that i could eat an 8 oz steak and baked potato! Steak is a nono for me, and 8 oz, are you kidding? I can not eat any more than 4 oz of any meat. I can't even eat more than 4 oz of my favorite fish. i have a loose fill, only 5 cc, but I know that that is all I can tolerate. I do use myfitnesspal. I have it set for 800 calories. I get my extra calories from exercise. if I don't do it, I keep myself at my 800. The tool is just that. learning to readjust your thinking and eating is a must with all Bariatric surgeries. Sorry my reply will upset some people. Karen..akakkll724
  7. It sounds to me that you have gas problems especially since your surgery was less than a week ago, That is usually when the major gas starts. Walk and try Gas-x. I am surprised that the surgeon recommends a medication for reflux at this stage. well as B-52 said maybe others have been prescribed the same. Best wishes. I am NOT a medical professional, just a lapband veteran!

    WOW

That is one great NSV, and surprising one for you!!Congrats!
  10. Bread will get stuck, adn some meats, too! I, also, learned the hard way with roast beef on a roll. Until you have slimed and not stopped, you will not really understand, "the hard way". Best of luck, try not eating breads and soem meats, and take smaller bites, too! Steaks, and beefs are particularly hard for us bandsters. Karen...aka..kll724
  11. Wow! Look at you Sharpie! You are looking great! And Congrats to your grandson, too! you had a great NSV, too!
  12. You folks are doing great! Shout for joy and keep on keeping on!!! Woohoo! Karen...akak..kll724

    Would love a buddy

Luvs2sing, I have been there, and the time between empty band and a new start can be tough, but as Terry said you need to adjust your thinking. Using a small plate helps a lot! I have not used a full size plate(except maybe eating out) since my 1st visit to a nutritionist! You just get used to eating smaller meals when using a small plate. Best wishes to you!!kll724

    Staples, Stitches, or Glue?

Mine closed nicely, I had stitches(I think), but left the hospital with seri-tape. The only one that is fully visible is the port, that is because it is the biggest. But, that fades pretty much too(as I left my top and look)!!

    Failure

Never too late, that is why the band is adjustable. You can get back on track by calling your surgeon, or fill doctor, and getting an appointment for a fill or adjustment or just talking to the nutritionist. Get ye to the phone and make an appointment(after the office opens, that it)! Best wishes, Karen...aka..kll724

    Share Your NSVs Here Please!

You, go b-52! You are just the inspiration needed by so many folks here! Thanks folks for all the NSV's
  17. I waited quite awhile before having a drink. I noticed after I did have a drink, (note a drink), that I am now a cheap date! 1 drink makes me feel light headed now! If, after your surgeon okays a drink) you go out make sure to have a designated driver, because you will not know how a drink will affect you! Karen...aka..kll724
  18. Today is the day. Be good to yourself and stick to the preop diet. In the end, you will be glad and proud that you do! Best wishes. Karen...aka..kll724

You go, countrysweet, you are on your way! Hopefully this is going to be your time! And you are starting a new year with anew you! Congrats!!Karen..aka..kll724
  20. I agree, it is a great pre-op diet. I was allowed shakes, only shakes and they were the prescribed by the surgeon's office kind. They were not bad,it gets pretty boring!!! Best wishes, you ae on your way!kll724

    Low Fat Sherbert

Yogurt is not part of a clear liquid diet. But, check with your surgeon's office, sherbert might be. Best wishes, it is worth a try. I lived on the sugar free popcicles the 1st couple weeks after surgery! kll724

Finally on the other side !

    Got my 1ST Fill today...

My surgeon makes us wait the 4 days, too! Two days clear and two days full liquids. It gives you chance to have the swelling from the fill go down. Try to follow your surgeon's plan. You will be fine! Best wishes, Karen...aka..kll724
  24. Don't know, but call to find out! Explain to the new doctor and the old why you need to see the new doctor. Best wishes. Karen...aka..kll724
