    Little Worried

You would know fairly quickly if you had a slip! Your doctor would also know. It sounds like you are right on track. Not everyone achieves restriction the 1st few fills. If you are eating a meal and are satisfied after eating, adn not hungry for 3-4 hours, then you are at green. If not, then you need more adjustment! Best wishes, karen..aka.kll724

    Hit plateau

What tmf said! Are you exercising? What works for hubby might not work for you. What does the surgeon's office say? are they suggesting anything? But, as cheryl said, sometimes the weight stops and then restarts by itself. Just keep on doing what has worked so far. Best wishes, Karen..aka..kll724
  3. Best wishes! You can do it! I hope that the slight fill will do the trick for you! Karen..aka.kll724

    Banders Exercise

Good morning, friends. I 1st want to say, I hate the tredmill! I like outdoors walking. My walking buddies are either sick today, or working. Plus, the weatehr here in Flroida has been windy and chilly in teh morning for walking. So this morning, I am proud to say that I stayed on the tredmill for 1 hour, wlaking at a 2.5 or 3.0 pace. That is a true accomplishment for me at home, by myself! Yeah me!!! Havea great day, Karen..aka..kll724

    Blender Blunders

I really like my new Nutribullet. It comes with blades that fit on the cup, not in the blender. You remove the blades and put a handle on teh cup for drinking. I am drinking my smoothy, now, yogurt, strawberries, bananna and flax seeds. Yummy!Karen..aka..kll724

  9. Welcome, congrats to your start and getting off your meds! You are doing a fine job. don't worry about the slight ups/downs of the scale. Salt retension and other environmentals can cause that. Stay the course, best wishes, Karen..aka.kll724

    No bread. No steak

I was not handed those rules. But, my surgeon has advised me that steak (and from my experience) is a no no. I seldom have bread and only eat the asparagus crowns. The rest of them are way to stringing and harsh for our digestion. I , also, only eat the crowns of broccoli. Follow your surgeon's rules, obviously they are given for a reason! Karen..aka.kll724

    Oldie, but a newbie...

Best wishes, I hope that you can work this out. Karen..aka..kll724
  12. You may be one of those, many of us are, who needs more than 3 meals a day. As terrydumont said, try eating something healthy, Protein filled, otherwise, you may be so famished at dinner, that you will try to compensate and overeat. Best wishes, Karen..aka.kll724

    fill or not

That will be up to you and your doctor to decide. I, personally, can't tolerate too much, but have tried the tweak thing, too. You sound like you know yourself and band well, so, if the tweak would give you support, try it. Best wishes, Karen..aka.kll724

    1st Post Op Week

Best wishes, you are probably swollen, but calling your surgeon's office is,always, good advice. Karen..aka.kll724
  17. As far as whether you need to adjust your eating before your fill, check with your material from your surgeon. if there is nothing in there, call the surgeon's office prior. Mine never had a restriction on before fill, but after fill I can only have Clear Liquids for 2 days, and full liquids for 2 days. Best wishes on your first fill. Karen..aka.kll724

    Donating blood/platelets again?

I am not sure, but I did donate since I have had my lapband. It never occurred to me that I could not. I think the guidelines from Red Cross is like 1 year from surgery, but I am not sure. i don't think there is a problem unless your own health would forbid it. Karen..aka.kll724

    Debating on getting more fills

I don't have anything to add, but if you feel that you would be happier with .25 cc added to the fill, then try it. My surgeon's office will unfill within a week for no cost, if you are too tight. I am not sure how others are. Best wishes.karen..aka.kll724 PS(yes, try to stay away from ER's).
  22. My Protein shakes were prescribed by the surgeon's office. He has us on Chike powder. Don't know about the others. Sorry, Karen..aka.kll724

    Band slippage

RELAX! ! Restriction is elusive. The 1st few days you are swollen after a fill. My surgeon has us on 2 days clear and 2 days full liquids to not have problem with the swelling. Perhaps it is not the quantity of the food but the quality of the food. Are you doing 4 oz of Protein with each meal? Are you eating it 1st? Are you drinking your 64 oz of Water each day? You seem to be losing weight fine. Why do you want to feel restriction? You should feel satiated after meals and if you are not able to go 3-4 hours between meals, you are not in the green zone yet. Best wishes, Karen..aka.kll724
  24. The others have given you sound advice. research before you leap!Best wishes to you!
