I agree with the others. you mght be making poor food choices. You don't sound like you are getting much Protein. You do need to discuss with a nutritionist your eating problems. I think that you might need to skip teh next fill until you can work thru your eating menu. Best wishes, karen..aka..kll724

I got my card without a problem. Note, I have never used it! Most folks don't ask questions, anymore. I had, a coupl eyears ago, explained to a waitress why I asked for a to go box immediately, and she had not problem bringing one, I now, just ask without explanation. Best wishes, Karen..aka.kll724

I sdon't haev a problem with capsules, but can be opend up, if you think they might get stuck. I did that for quite a while myself. I now take them with Water, and they do not get caught. Best wishes, Karen

HAh! I love Floira! The weather cooled yesterday, it was dreary and rainy, so I had to take a wlak indoors on the tred mill. Loved wearing my flipflops for a day or so when it ws real warm. Put closed shoes on, yesterday too! Pooh!

Most fills are pretty easy. My surgeon, always, numbs the area. Sometimes, he will have me stand in front of the flouroscope to watch the fill go thru my tube. He has us follow a liquid diet for 4 days, 2 clear and two full. Best wishes, Karen..aka.kll724

Congrats on your bandiversary! Looks like you are getting back on track. As already said above, the band doesn't work by itself. Take care, make sure that you are getting your Protein, and exercise. Karen..aka..kll724

CALM down! I agree with tmf! Stress can cause you to have pain. I am not saying it is imagned, but it could be. It was good that the new doctor did the tests he did to help you calm some. Your friend, obviously, did it to her self, she should have been seeing her doctor at least 1 or 2x a year. You are doing good, and how exciting going on vacation. Just take care or yourself! You could try tuna Snacks if you like it. I, also, like guacamole or Peanut Butter iwhich come in small easy to carry sizes. I someitmes add rice crackers, but can and do tolerate it plain. Karen..aka.kll724

I, also, did not get weighed on my post op. The PA checked my incisions, like B-52 said. I had one hanging suri-strip that she removed. She then answered a few questions and we scheduled my 1st apt with the doctor. Good luck, Karen..aka.kll724 -
No idea, but we did a meat with some sauce to make it better and not as dry. Many people do refried Beans with a little hot sauce/ tomato sauce. Best wisehs, hopefully others will give you good ideas. Karen..aka..kll724

As you lose, you will get cold because you don't have much fat to keep you warm. But, that being said, it has been cold for Florida. The wet weather has not helped either. I have been running around with a sweater most of the time, too!

Question regarding post op
kll724 replied to beced's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi Welcome. Most surgeon's have us doing clear liquids for the week immediately following surgery. Then we move on to full liquids. After full for a week or two, we move to mushy. Mushies include stufff like yogurt, baby food, or food that has been pureed in your blender. But, as previously mentioned above, follow your Surgeon's guidelines. These are what OUR surgeon have told us. Best wishes, Karen..aka..kll724 -
Unfill setting me back about 6 months :-(
kll724 replied to endingyoyo's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I have trouble with shrip an ddry chicken breast like B-52 said. If you eat shrimp, you should chew real well. And watch out for dry chicken breast. You probably should have styaed with soemthing easier to eat, as you were swollen after being stuck. This is a good lesson for all of us! Sorry for the set back. Possibly that last fillwas just a little too much! I never heard of teh fill just pushing it self out. Yipes! Best wishes, take care. Karen..aka.kll724 -

I like this advice. I heard an old Southern joke years ago. instead of cursing, polite southern ladies just say, "My how nice"! So that is my New years Resolution. My how nice!!(you can read between the lines on that one)!!!Karen..aka.kll724

I know that we are not supposed to drink soda. But sometimes, 7-up or coke is the only thing that will help. Drink it room temp and only a few ounces. Best wishes, Karen..aka..kll724 -
Call your surgeon's office. You do not want to get dehydrated. And vomitting is not cool for a lapbander. Best wishes, Karen..aka.ll724
