Congrats! I bought all my bras from VS. I agree, they do make you feel more like a woman, after being big as a cow! I went from 44dd to 36d and feel great! I wear the same size as my ultra slim daughter-in-law!

Thank you B-52 and all the other responses on here. I am really happy with my band, too! I have a family of banders, me, my daughter and my son. We are all happier and healthier with our bands. Thanksgiving will be a true time of thanks for our healthier lives, and good friends and our band! Good luck to us all, and Happy Thanksgiving! I leave today for my very 1st cruise! See you next week. Karen

Yes, if you can only eat sliders, and ice cream, is a slider, you need to have an unfill! I have been there, do it for yourself, and good luck. Karen -
Do You Drink Coffee After Lap Band Surgery ?
kll724 replied to Sharon1222's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I am, also, a coffee drinker. I can't function without a "real" cup of coffee. I cam even smell the difference in de-cafe. In a emergency, I will drink it, but it does nothing foe me! I need that morning coffee. Goodluck. Karen -

Getting Stuck- is it a choice?
kll724 replied to GLove's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I lost some hair, noticed in my hair brush, but not noticeable to others. I cut my hair into a chin length bob shorty after having surgery, and I am guessing that that helped too. I think others loose hair, and notice it quicker. Goodluck on any decisions. Karen -
Welcome Moon_child7275, I know that you are looking forward. It is not a "piece of cake". It is hard, but you will have a tool and a lot of helpful folks on here. This has been my lifeline and even though I haven't asked a lot of questions, myself, I have learned a lot. Good luck, God bless. Karen

I am 63, my skin is saggy, but not too bad. At my heaviest I was 255. I am now 145. I look best in clothes, but I can wear dresses above my knees and look good, too! I think that being your young age, and weight, if you work out, some, you shouldn't have saggy skin. Karen

OMG - A "ZERO" AFTER THE 2!!!!!
kll724 replied to Allison0927's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Yeah! You will be on onderland before you know it! -
Me too! My daughter is 4'10", she has the carseat way close to reach the pedals. Yesterday, I climbed into her car, and was totally comfortable at the position it was in. I, also, noticed that when I drive, my seat is way forward, now. I used to have it the same place as my husband. Now, he hates when I drive, because he has to move it back! Congrats to everyone on their NSV's. Karen

Be careful if you are excersising, now if the time for healing! You can be running/walking and doing light arms, but don't do crunches, or anything heavy! Good luck, Karen

Hi Everyone I am new to this forum :)
kll724 replied to Tams45's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I want to give you all a big welcome, too! I have been coming here for 2 years now. It is so friendly and I read it every morning with my coffee. Yes, I drink coffee. I have lost my 100 lbs, and am on maintenance, so I am happy to answer questions that may come up, too! Be good to yourselves as you go through this new part of your lives. Holidays are hard, but you can get through them, if you consentrate on your loosing side of it. I still like to use a small plate and only eat what fits on it, one time. Best wishes for us, all. Karen -
I was just plain itchy! As you heal, your scars and scabs will itch. I tend to walk around rubbing my belly! HAHA! Just wash as normal, don't rub, but you could use some cream. I just washed as normal, myself. I did not want to cause a problem with any creams. But maybe, you could use a baby cream with oatmeal. Good luck. Karen

Hurray for NSV's. they are the greatest!

Good luck, Kyle! God be with you in your fight! Karen

What did you first eat?
kll724 replied to feliciadawn's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Pasta depends on what type you are talking about. I can eat bow ties, and a small piece of lasana noodles, if crispy. I can't eat regular long spaghetti. I have tried, it will slip down, accidently, then I am in trouble. I stay away from most pasta, now. But, try it, you might be able to eat it without trouble. My son can! He can eat a lot of stuff I can't. So, folks and their bands are different, just like normal people! Goodluck. Karen -
My daughter has a friend who only drinks protein drinks. She has one of those 5 hour drinks and that is one of her meals. She looks good, and is very afraid of gaining any weight back! She was always heavy even at a very young age. She had a cheating husband and is now single and looking. He tried to come back to her after she lost all her excess weight. She is a very pretty girl and I think, unless you knew her before, folks would never guess she was a fatty all her life. She is in a size 2 now! It is sad, but she is running around being very happy! I would not want to live without eating! (Note:while she was on her 1st stage, she licked the McDonald wrappers when getting the kids their dinner!)
