If you are not having anything until 2pm, you are not doing your body any good. Try to have something in the am. And tummy growls are normal, so don't take that as a sign that you are hungry!!! I get them a lot, and know that I am not hungry, as I just had soemthing. Good luck, might be blood pressure too low, or low blood sugar. Karen

Sick Constantly Is This Dangerous
kll724 replied to Debbie Logie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi, I had a fill on Wednesday, I am still on liquids. Try liquids for at least aday to calm your tube and tummy down. You may be a bit to filled. See what happens after the liquids for a day or so. If you still can't keep anything down, call your surgeon for a slight unfill! Good luck, Karen -
It looks to me, like they took a little fill out, so he is probably at 4 1/2 cc, which for a 1st fill is pretty awesome. Here's wishing you luck with your 1st fill. And yes, watching the fill go down is neat! KAren

I had a slip! I 1st noticed that I coughed all night long, some mucus would come up. Sometimes, I would be up every hour spitting up mucus. Finally before my appointment, I had a trash can by my bed to spit in, all night long. Surgeon suggested generic :Nexium". Did nothing for me! I was able to eat NOTHING!!! I lost alot of weight but was almost dehydrated, too! If this is you, see your surgeon, call for an emergency apt ASAP! Goodluck, Karen

First Post Op Doctor Visit Tomorrow.... Should I Get A Fill
kll724 replied to DE121911's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I wouldn't give you a fill either! Your lap band journey will be over in 10 more weeks and then the Dr. can't make any money off ya. Gotta stretch it out a little, you know? My son had his surgery in August. Sugreon gave him an intial fill at surgery, and 1 more. He has lost about 70 lbs. I would be happy loosing without a fill! There is anothr gentleman on here who has never had a fill. Not sure if it is B-52, but anyway, this perosn has lost most of his weight without a fill at all. Goodluck, maybe you will be one of the folks who doesn't need a fill to gain restriction! Karen -
Well, I also, have old lady thighs. My husband said with panty hose on, that my legs look great, so I can wear above the knee skirts and such. But, I have to live with the old lady thighs when swimming. I am sorry, I do not want to go through plastic surgery. I am not into pain, even if it will make me look better! I am just having to work harder, but don't know that exercise will do it! Good luck and here's to "Old Lady Thighs"!!! Karen

Welcome and good luck with yoru new band. Karen

Worried It Will Effect My Life In A "negative" Way.
kll724 replied to dimplzjs's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Haha! My husband calls me a cheap date! I eat very small meals, and usually share it with him. ANd 1 glasss of wine does me in! GOod luck. -
I had a fish burger from Bk a couple weeks ago. I ordered it without the bun. I must say it was like comfort food! But I can't even think about a burger and fries! If someone goes to McD's or Bk, I might have a fry or 2, never a burger and never a whole order of fries, not even a small. The thought revolts me! But I guess a lot of folks can do it. I sometimes look at pizza on TV and think, yumm. I know that if I even bought one, I would probably have 2 bites and be done. As far as your problem of throwing up, has the surgeon checked to make sure you are not slipped? When my band had slipped in Oct. I couldn't keep anything down, even with an unfill. Good luck to you, and us all. Karen

Am I Too Tight Or Is The What You Consider The Green Spot
kll724 replied to 3musketeers's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Good for you, you are very wise to see teh surgoen and have a little removed, vomitting excessivley can cause a slippage. Good luck! -
I think you are youndg enough that you proabably will bounce back without too much trouble. As corrigan said young folks have enough elasticity in their sskin to not show those wrinkles. Now, I admit that after loosing 100lbs, I have more wrinkles, but a lot less chins!!!Karen

Friend Said She Was Addicted To Porn....so Am I!!!!
kll724 replied to cyn2011's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I'm with B-52, I can't stand to watch food shows or even food commercials. and the idea of eating at one of the many buffets advertised on TV is just revolting to me! Those 4 cours meals are enough to feed me and my two children, who also have lapband. I am not a food channel addict. I don't even hea my son, who used to be a food channel addict, say he watches much anymore. Best wishes all. Karen -
Pre-Surgery Tests, Evals & Specialists?
kll724 replied to KathyLynn's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I 1st met with the surgeon's team. He required the seminar 1st, then checked with the insurance company for me. They required a 6 month monitored weightloss program. I chose to do it with the bariatric center. I needed to see a nutritionist and have a pych evaluation. After the 6 months, I got my okay for surgery right away. Good luck, I was 61 when I had my surgery. Karen -
Best of luck to you! Wish I had the courage to do it. But, I am 63 years old, and don't like pain. I just have to deal with the puochy belly. Karen

I have alot of trouble with salad. Stay away from iceberg lettuce, for some reason it is hard to chew up. Also, I agree, you may still be slightly swollen, and the excitement for the wedding could be a factor too, take it easy for a few days. You might want to go back to liquids. Congratuations on the "new attitude" and NSV's galore. Karen

I was banded 2 years before you! (actually the day before Halloween in 209). I remember that I had lost about 25-30 lbs on my 6 month diet but then slowed down adn didn't loose much between November and January. So, don't be discouraged. Your weight loss will come. Good luck with your next fill. Karen
