  1. Oh, I have been embarrassed at times from the old stomach growl! It does go away, thank goodness! Some people never get hungry, too! Not me, I still get hungry, which according to my doctor, is head hunger; I don't know about that! Anyway, back to stomach growling, it will subside and then go away,,eventually, but not sure how long mine lasted. Sorry, no definative answer, there. Karen

  6. I would be careful lifting those heavy things for 6 weeks. I know that sounds like a long time, but my surgeon restricted weight for that long. Also, don't know if you do, but, I once, used my "shelf" to carry a box, as I had been doing for many years, and OMG, I thought I would die. Do what I say, don't do what I did! best wishes, Karen

    Question re: food intake

Well, as you have said, different surgeons give differnt instructions. My own would never have said a cup of food at one time. That is a lot of food! My surgeon did say I could have Snacks, but not the 100 calorie snacks that the companies market. So, he suggested low cal Jello, or cheese, or veggies. Best wishes to you.

Feeling guilty for living in Florida...

It started out raining for about 15 minuyes, and was cool and breezy, yesterday. We were holding a walkathon at our church and it was perfect after the rain for that. My walking partner and I walked about 5 miles. My church group earned aver $500.00 in our walkathon for the homeless. Today the sun is out and it looks nice, I haven't been out yet!

I just haven't figured out how to keep the loss off until lapband! I am glad that you are now past your healing stage. I assume "sloppy" is what we call mushy. Enjoy getting past teh liquid stage. 22. Yes, there are some people who are in the green zone with nothing in their band. Others have to have 8 to 10 ccs in their band. Everyone is different. Their are a lot of surgeon's who will prime the band at surgery, too. Best wishes, try to get your Protein down. Karen....aka..kll724

I am sorry. Just take it easy. I can't give you any good advice. Have you spoken to your surgeon? It sounds like you may have over eaten. A cup of mushy is a lot of food! Best wishes, karen..aka..kll724

Feeling guilty for living in Florida...

Well, folks, when I grew up I lived in North dakota. I lived in Maryland, where for some reason it likes to blizzard around Washington's birthday. I remember being an essential employee, so digging my car out, and being one of the brave souls who drove an hour to work and spending the night there because someone had to. Living in the Washington,D.C. area noting really shuts down, even when the Fed. Govt. isn't at work. So, my hubby and I chose Florida to retire. We love watching the other's who have to be to work. (It was sad news yesterday when the snow plaw killed the 8 month pregnant mother. But the y were able to do a cs on teh mom and bring the baby out alive! ) Best wishes to all my Northern Friends, including carolinagirl who got hit by the storms too! Karen..aka..kll724 PS: I don't feel guilty living in Florida, I paid my dues!
