Wow! Keep going! You are doing fantastic!
-
Congrats to you! You are a success story. Major best wishes on your upcomming bandiversary! Karen

Yes, I can feel my port. Last summer when I got into the swimming pool, mine would stick out like a hernia. I guess it doesn't like to be cold! I actually like to feel it; it is a reminder of my goal. Good luck with your weight loss. By he way, there are very few things that I can see the port through clothing! Karen

Congratualtions on your 2 year bandiversary!

Congrats, and keep us updated, if you want! Karen PS:I had GERD from my band but had a revision, so I am okay, now!

Alex, says she is the new lapband spokesperson. I wish her much luck. She was very successful when she had her by-pass, but then had kids and gained a lot back. She is not nearly as :big" as she was before her surgeries. She has lost 30 lbs since her lapband. Best wishes to Carnie! Karen

I like ice cream, too! But, I don't keep it in the house. I need to make a run to get it when I want it. It helps fight the "addiction". I like chips , etc, too, they are all slider foods, but as B-52 says, you have to eat like a skinny person. When I had chips, (which I don't keep in the house, anymore), I made sure to have a small rami bowl to put them in. Good luck, you can get back to your swelt weight if you want to!

I would suggest a visit to your surgeon's office. Ask to have him/her to check your band with the flouroscope, and get a fill if needed. Karen

Oh that is so sweet! My grand son is just afraid that gramma and mommy, and now, daddy won't be "fluffy" anymore. He likes to cuddle into our "fluff".
-
Its a lofty goal, but you could set mini-goals as you go along. I wish you luck, and best wishes. Don't set yourself up for failure, however. KAren

To be perfectly honest, almost, everyone in my surgeon's offcie has had the surgery, including the surgeon! How do you know that your friends girlfriend is not a former patient? What the op above me said, Hippa laws forbid her to gossip about you or any other patients! Good luck, Karen

Help Bandsters, What Am I Doing Wrong?
kll724 replied to Staceven's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It sounds like you have a slip. The surgeon wsa trying to get the band to go back into place with out surgery. If it doesn't, which it sounds like it did not, the surgeonw ill eithe rhave to revision it, or replace it. Been there, with the revision. Good luck, take it easy. Don't test yoru band after having the fill unless it has had time for the swelling to go down. Karen -
Just Saw This: Carnie Wilson Has Wls - Again!

I, also, started to read the comments. They were needlessly cruel, but then you know how pompus some folks are! Good luck to here, and I, also, am not sure of her as the National spokesperson. -
I 1st noticed that problem when I tried ot take a long trip. Previously from loosing weiht, I could ride hours without getting a sore bumm. Now, even after a few minutes, I find I need to shift to get comortable, and have to have a pad under my bumm and back to ride longer than an hour or so. Congrats on your "interesting"NSV!

I can't do any steak, not even prime rib which was always a favorite of mine. I live on mostly smoothies and fish. I can do peanut butter, yum, yum! Salads and raw veggies get to me, also. I can eat, very slowly, and slighly, a salad which has different lettuce other than iceberg. I can eat hard breads, and just recently started to eat small slices of then crust pizza. I don't eat potaotes, unless I have a fry or 2. My advice, also, is NEVER eat in the car.
-
I, also, can't do salad. I have recently been able to eat salad, if I am selective on what knd of lettuce I have on it. Raw vegetables are very hard to chew up to a consistenacy that will not cause a pb. I can't eat steak! I will pb everytime, even if I chew very well. If you want steak, try chopped steak. My son has 7 cc in his 10 cc band, and he has now gotten real restriction for the 1st time. He has lost 88 lbs, and has about another 20 to loose. He can eat a yogurt and be satisfied, now. You might need to eat less than before. Good luck, Karen

Congrats and thhese are great NSV's. You deserve a big "high 5"! Great job. Karen -
That is awesome, and you can feel greater just because you know that you made a difference in that kids life! Hurrah!
-
Congrats to you both! The NSV's are almost better than scale victories, too!
-
Onederland is fun! Congrats on your success. Karen
-
Congrats, Cazzy! B-52 is right. I remember when I hit that spot, too. It was exhilarating, to say the least. Go out and get something new to wear for spring! You sooooo deserve it. And probably need it, too! Karen
