You ladies do sound like you already have the summer doldrums. This made me laugh and it is on 7:45 am here. No, the song would be not rigth with the new title. we all know "fat-bottomed girl" here, too! And I so agree with AHummingbird, I think of flip-flops as thongs, too. would never say that now-a-days tho'. I have had to get used to calling them flip-flops or sandals. Everything, here, in Florida is either flip-flops or sandals in the summer, except for bowling shoes!! Good day, Ladies! Karen

Not Able To Eat During Full Liquid Stage
kll724 replied to Sombra1718's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Yes, take it very easy. My surgeon has us on clear liquids for about a week. But, anyway, make sure that your liquids are that! Don't try to eat anything that is lumpy. And(by the way), my surgeon says that cottage cheese is not a liquid or a mushy, it is a solid. Just go slowly, you will soon be able to take in more liquids. Sip, sip, sip, all day long on liquid stage, you will not over eat!!!! Good luck, Karen -
Yeah!!Bet you look and feel awesome! Karen

I agree with elcee. I would try something bubbly early and see if you can sip it and tolerate it. You should be able to drink th e"sparly" if you sip slowly!! Best wishes on your upcoming marriage! I bet you will look smashing in your wedding dress! Karen

CALL YOUR SURGEON THIS MORNING,ASAP! Vomtting, real vomitting, can cause a slip and damage your band. Your surgeon can check it. You might need to go in, but you probably don't have any fill so it might not be too bad. Drink clear liquids and take care. Karen

I had so many, but the main one, I have always said was not wanting to be known as the "fat lady" in the choir. I had surgery in Oct 2009, no one remembers me from before!! I guess I was a nobody up until I lost weight! (by the way, I moved to this area and church in Oct 2006)!. Karen

Let's talk about "Pineapple Juice"........
kll724 replied to marieze's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Well, I had always used pineapple juice for a stuck. But, had a stuck episode a couple weeks ago, my son, suggested cola, tried it. and iT works like roto-rooter, cleared up instantly!! Pineapple juice made it come up, cola wooshes it down. He had been to Spain and met a nurse who worked in a band doctor's office. This is what she said they used for stuck incidents.) I now have a large cola in my cupobord for emergencies!! Best of luck to all stuck folks! Karen -
Yes Sir! You do look great! Hurrah!! Karen

Just make sure that you get plenty of fiber, add some to your liquids if you need to . I do every now and then. I have had an ongoing problem for the last 2 1/2 years since banding, it has now seemed to work itself back to normal. Hope that you get going again!!Karen -

I totally agree, overfill is bad. Glad to hear that your surgeon removed some. Take it easy for a day or 2, my surgoen suggests 2 days clear and 2 days full liquids. I was just so glad to keep something down, I kind of rushed it an donly waited a total of 2 days. Bets wishes for a quick healing. Karen

I can share small, thin crust pizza with 2 friends. I eat it slowly, usually cutting it ro nibbly it. I stay away from pepperoni, or anyhting with too much on it. Never eat mushrooms, because they don't get mushy enough to go down. You will find, that you are a cheap date for dinner out!! Best of luck, Karen

I hate the treadmill, so I normally walk outside. But, today we were having heavy rain and thunder, so I walked inside on my treadmill. I took it slowly, and stayed for 47 mins. I did under 2 miles, but was happy that I stayed on it that long. I normally walk 2-3 miles in 45 mins, but that is at a much faster pace. Took it slow, because as I said, I hate treadmill walking. I did read several chapters of a book on my Kindle FIre, tho'. Best wishes to all exercisers, and all us lapbanders. Karen
