I think it's 11cc.
-
I recently went for my 3rd fill, bringing me up to 8cc out of 11cc. Since then I can eat and drink very little. I also have acid reflux, and I've been vomiting just about every day (even though I don't eat a lot). I take medication and I have a hard time with it (very bad esophagus pain). On the other hand, I've lost 6lbs in one week, which is the best so far. When I was at 7cc I could eat a lot more, and barely lost any weight. Should I maybe try 7.5cc?

It's strange because I'm back at 8cc and I can eat and drink just fine. I'm even a bit too loose. A month ago I couldn't get down anything at this level, but then they unfilled me and later refilled me. Very odd...

I've been at 7.5cc a couple weeks now. Good weight loss, but now it seems I can eat more and more. I might need to go up to 7.75cc.

what does it feel like when your food get's stuck
Babar1243 replied to fatgirlnomore7's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I tend to eat very fast, and since getting banded I have had food stuck many times. You need to be careful not to drink a lot to wash the stuck food down. This may feel good and relieve the pressure, but it defeats the purpose of the band. When you endure the pain or throw up, it teaches you to eat more slowly and avoid foods that are hard to get down. Only when I learned not to wash food down did I start having consistent, significant weight loss. -
Thank you all for your replies. I went to the doctor this morning and she removed 0.5cc, bringing me down to 7.5cc. I feel much better. I am now able to eat and drink a bit more, and my medications go down just fine. I think 7.5cc is going to be the sweet spot for me.

How Will I Learn to Chew Thoroughly and Eat Slower?
Babar1243 replied to mariaxoxo4u's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I got banded in August, and I think I've been going about it all wrong. I've had 2 fills totaling 7ccs in an 11cc band. I've been eating very fast (like I always did) and washing my food down with big gulps of fluid. For a week after the fills, I was PBing a lot, but then it started going down. My weight loss hasn't been progressing. I think I need to learn to a)small bites and chew food thoroughly and b)avoid drinking while eating. I really need help with this because I have such an instinct to eat food fast, especially if it's savory.
