Well i was also banded 12/3/09 and i lost a total of 33lbs and that includes my pre-op, went in for my 1st fill on Jan 20th got a 1/2cc fill in.. a 10cc band....I go in for my 2nd fill march 8th and super xcited .....im stuck between 190 and 192 for the last week or so, i work out almost everyday, eat right xcept today i wanted french fries so i ate a grilled chicken with cottage chees on the side and small fries i bought omg i havent had fries like forever lol, i try not to get discouraged because i know it doesnt happen overnight and my dr. and his whole team which is also my team told me this does happen before my surgery i know im ready for another fill for sure im a patient person i feel good and healthier and loveing it and i know im heading in the right direction just enjoy each loss as it comes ok ......take care -

hi well my name is tina, i was banded dec 3rd and i lost a total of 33 to 35 lbs, i had my first fill jan 20 and it didnt hurt just felt a little weired cant xplain it well to me it did.. anyways i been married for 19 yrs this yr and 2 grown kids ages 22 and 20 and 2 grandkids one here and one in the belly still due anyday.. i feel lately i need a friend to listen ,someone who understands the whole lap band thing i dont personally know anyone who has done it ...so im here for support well whenever you feel like chattin im here ok im just a type away lol talk to you later -
hi i just saw your pics you look great!!! and seen that you were very motivated ...i was banded 12/3/09 and lost a total of 33lbs so far i got my first fill 1/2 cc only but i dont fell motivated no more i yoyo between 191 and 193 for like 2 weeks ...what can i do to get out of this funk i need motivation!!! how did you do it?? should i get another fill rt away?? plzzz help

i had surgery dec 3rd and im starting to notice my hair thinning on top what to do!! anyone who can share any ideas with me would be helpful also what kind a dr should i see any spacial dr.

thanx everyone for ur comments i am eating my 78 grams of protein a day and i do take vitamins and biotin and my calcium and i eat chicken once a day with my cottage chesse and one vegetable with avacado the chicken also counts for protein .....i really hope it is common to my WL surgery.... hopefully it is not permanent...

ur funny lol....yeah well trust me lapband for me was not hard i was soooo scared but you know what the same day i was walking around its not bad im a baby when it come to pain and i was like get my shit ready baby when mama comes home cause i thought i was gonna be all tore up in pain but na i wasnt....the medicine dr gives you does help alotttt heheh

lol yup i felt like that to but then i was like f it i just didnt smoke the day before but i did the same day i got out damm good head change lol

hello im was 5 days post-op and was told had to wait 2 weeks full liquid before mushies i tries mash potatoes i had me some beans 2 ounces and i got full did ok i also had 1 egg did ok but i only did that once a day for lunch or dinner but still had my shakes ...but that was me it could be done carefully...or ask the dr. i still followed the program just added a little meal in there today i get my first dr appt i dont know if im going to get a fill so ill see ......hope that helped you

hey you me again in response to ur comment .....im 37 and married to a wonderful man for 19 yrs ..i got banded dec 3 my started weight was 225 as of today i weigh 201 and a half lol gotta count that anyways im all better now i also do go in for my 1st post op appt dec 21st and wondering if im going to get a fill or what ......im here for support ok if you need it , gotta go with the program trust me it works well so far it does lol so get back to me when you can k take care

hi larry, well i know you had your surgery right after me i had mines on dec 3rd so how are you doing so far? well if you have any questions im here ok? just take your time to heal and sip slowly and walk walk walk im telling you the second day i was at the mall and walking everywere helped with the gas.. but do take it easy ok.....

in response to your hair!! ARE YOU TAKING ALL THE VITAMINS AND CALCIUM?? TRY BIOTIN ALSO MY DR RECOMMENDED THAT TO ME ALSO JUST IN CASE!! i was told we shouldnt lose any hair anyways only patients who gone thru the gastric bypass will a little!! so you only lost 15 pounds what has your DR said?? -

i also had surgery dec 3rd and im telling you it was the best thing for me so far...i lost 20 lbs total since 2 weeks before surgery to now..i am losing steadily ....if you have any questions im here to answer ok!!
