I have been looking into Weightloss surgery for a couple years now. I have had concerns with my weight since I was a teenager. I would lose and gain back 10-20 lbs more then I lost. I started being serious about my research on wls about 2 months ago. I went into my doctor 2 weeks ago to discuss having a referral put in for the gastric bypass and he gave me a paper on the lapband surgery. I was so excited I sat at my computer every night researching and printing things off. I finally got up the nerve to discuss with my family and decided to contact the surgical centre here at BC. I also put in the paperwork to get the financing for the surgery. I am currently sitting here anxiously waiting for the office to call me back with my consult appointment which will be on wednesday Nov 4. I am so nervous... I am also waiting for the finalization of the financing. The process seems fast from what I have read about others stories. I just worry I want to be doing the right thing... I know that I need to lose the weight.. I am pre diabetic, have fibromyalgia, acid reflux and just have no energy or will to get through some of my days... So I know that I am making the right decision... Just nervous at this point...
